I'm happy to say it does not change the way I see boogeyman. I'll tell you a secret. I always imagined him as like literally the shortest guy wherever he went who is just running around doing shenanigans. Like the scene where he escapes the kingdom during the Merlin's test. I tried so hard to see him in a dementor type image but nope I couldn't. I had to look up what chuunibyou was but once I did I immediately realised it fit.

I can understand about merthur tho. Even if you didn't start it out as such, the development so far looks natural and quite cute. I especially love the times where Merlin compares Ygraine's Camelot people with Uther's. Because like there are obvious changes in their personalities because of the difference in life experiences but fundamentally there is a connection between both the versions. The soulmate au lover in me absolutely loves that Merlin's friends are still his in some way or the other. Lmaoo when Arthur was disguised and Merlin immediately clocked it, everyone was like ???? You're saying you can literally figure him out by his voice alone huh wow so normal and just what anyone would do 😭😭😭 dumb of ass truly.

Hello! I just finished A Warlock's Wish for the first time and oh my god merthur is one of those ships that I just come back to again nd again and I can't believe how I've never read this before. Trust me when I say it's truly a gem. You've got such a way of writing pain that I can't get over. So good honestly. Angst done exceptionally. I loved the funny moments like the ones that are so painful that they just become funny after a while. I would love to see Merlin slow down time for something stupidly inconsequential. Just because he can do it. It is so sad to see him realise all that he could have in his own world. The freedom most of all and the joy of just doing magic like when he explains what magic means to him I crode 😭😭😭 even with all the angst it was one of THE saddest moment for me and all the stupid carved chess pieces oh my god I can't Balinor will be the death of me.

I hope you can finish the story. I also hope you can write more of stuff that aren't fanfics. Whatever you want to. The stagnancy can be quite paralysing but here's to sorting it out best of luck 🤞🤞 also to your Merlin 🫂🫂😭😭 hang in there buddy

I live to inflict pain and sorrow 🫡. In all honestly, BBC Merlin really has a lot of potential for angst (and the show did fulfill some of them). But I reckon I can squeeze out some more with Balinor and Merlin's father-son relationship. Our Merlin really deserved a break!

The carved chess pieces was one of my favorite scenes to write. Poor jealous Merlin 😭

This might change the way you view him but... I mentioned before that he was supposed to be a comic relief character. And when I'm writing him sometimes, I imagine a chuunibyou guy who just wants to dress up as a villain because he's burdened with a glorious purpose 😂

Just realised I never posted this short comic I made in 2019! Some of the art is a little wonky because I had to rush this out in a couple of weeks for a zine fair I was attending. I think my digital art skills have improved a bit since then.

I’m not the first person to suggest that cats are staring at something we can’t see when they stare into space but I thought it would make a fun comic idea. This was also inspired by a picture book I read a lot as a kid- Slobcat by Paul Geraghty, which had a similar narrative style though obviously without the horror elements.

DO IT!! Honestly idc if you ever finish AWW, everything you've written for it has been 👨‍🍳😙👌*chefs kiss* and it would be absolutely AMAZING if there were more chapters but it's still AMAZING where it's at right now

So go pursue other passions! Write what inspires you!! Even if the book never gets finished, whatever you DO write for it will be a pleasure to read, I'm sure. Whatever you write, finished or unfinished will be worth it.

YES THIS. This is what I'm trying fighting that inner voice with.

Also, consistency is key. If I get in at least 1000 words a day, in 3 months, I'll have 90,000 words -- a full-on novel!! More than a fourth of A Warlock's Wish (which is on its 8th year lmao)
