texting is like a quick time event if you're anxious enough
posture check! time to make your posture worse. it can always be worse. you can get shrimpier. inspiration if you need it:
This is what I aim for with my writing
i feel like the majority of people jumping to nitpick every small detail about the ending of good omens 3 don't realize how big of a deal it is that we even got the ending we did. they truly did not have to follow through with giving two queer characters adapted from a 90s novel about heavenly bureaucracy a happy ending. they could have gone FULL bury your gays, or simply just not continued the story after Neil Gaiman's proven allegations. They gave us SOMETHING, and that something was queer love saving the day and literally rewriting the universe.
Added hot take: I've seen people upset that they washed away the full queerness of aziraphale and crowley. now, they're simply two gay men in love with eachother instead of the complex non-gendered beings they were before. hot take! that is an insane thing to be upset about. 1) we know little to nothing about Asa and Anthony. Whose to say they aren't genderqueer in any way? 2) they still exist! and are queer!

maybe somewhere in the middle of nothingness they're there and watching two men who look like themselves fall in love
Ohhh it's all over the screen (my tears)
Tomodachi update. Last night Layton caught feelings for Melanie. Now Bennett has caught feelings for Layton.
Layton rejected him.
Bennett put on deodorant and spent all of his money on a $5 all white surrender flag. They are now dating.

Why so clumsy? being bipedal looks easy actually.

hey gang a lang I lowkey got writer's block's evil cousin write twice a week and miss your self set deadline by 2 weeks. but its okay because I'm probably almost done! anyway here's an excerpt from my Snowpiercer fanfiction
Attention, passengers. Mr. Wilford has accepted a Third Class petition to redraw the tribunal for today’s trial. One name has been drawn randomly from each class. If your name is called, please report immediately to your Hospitality representative.
From First Class, our jurist is Edith Gusterfeld. From Second Class, primary teacher Mary-Elizabeth Gillies. And representing Third Class… Papermaker Walter Flemming.
Again, Edith Gusterfeld, Mary-Elizabeth Gillies, and Walter Flemming, please report to Hospitality.
Melanie had handed me a glass of water from the hospitality car, telling me to sober up before she began her announcements. It did not work. I was sitting outside of the announcement room, looking outside the window. Seeing the world pass us by did not help with my anxiety.
How many people would be at the trial now? Now that Third class was on the tribunal? Would they let Third class attend, or only a select few members of staff? Only the people selected to tesitfy? How did the judicial system work aboard Snowpiercer? Was it the way Wilford wanted it to, or had Melanie corrupted it, somehow?
How much had she changed? That question kept haunting me. Would she keep it the way that He wanted? Would she change it to fit her vision?
Ruth and Tristan had been drawing the new members as Melanie made the announcement. It was odd. They were doing it in a way that made it seem like the train was playing a big game of bingo. It made me feel sick, but maybe that was my body trying to get readjusted to alcohol.
They kept glancing at me. I could see them out of the corner of my eye, even though I was facing away from them. It was weird, seeing so many new yet familiar faces in such a short amount of time. I knew Ruth didn’t recognize me, maybe because I looked so different after all this time. Did Tristan? We rarely interacted Before, so it was very unlikely.
“Melanie, are you sure Mr. BJ’s presence is… welcoming for our new tribunal?” Ruth asked before Melanie even turned around. “I’m sure he’s . . . friendly enough, but he doesn’t exactly give off the vibe of hospitality, does he?”
“He wants to observe the trial. This is the only way I’m trusting him to do it.”
She huffed. “He could at least be a bit more.. sober.”
The notary was the first of everyone to arrive, coming into the car after Melanie had called her down a few minutes later. By then, Ruth had moved into the side room. She seemed almost surprised to see me. Maybe she was one of the people on the train who knew faces. It would have come with her job.
Edith Gusterfield was the next to come. She was the First class member, and was well received by everyone in the car. Surprisingly, Ruth did not go to greet her. She did wave and smile.
When Mary Elizabeth arrived, she seemed to recognize me. She was surprised to see me, just like the notary, but she came over her shock. For a few minutes, she interacted with everyone in the car, thanking them for her place aboard the tribunal and greeting her fellow member, and then she sat down next to me.
“It’s BJ, isn’t it?”
I nodded. “Yes. Yes, uh. You’re… Miles’ teacher? I saw you a few days ago, didn’t I?”
“You did. It’s nice to meet you properly. My name’s Mary Elizabeth. Ms. Gillies. But I’m… assuming you know that?”
“Vaguely. Uhm, I’m not exactly… a member of Hospitality now. I’m not part of this. I’m sorry.” Why was she talking to me? My goal was to sit here quietly until the trial, and then I was going to watch as the murderer got her punishment. I was going to see Layton, and then I was going to—
“No! No, I know. I’m very glad to see you uptrain. I’ll make sure to tell Miles whenever I see him tomorrow. Speaking of, he’s why I wanted to talk about you. He mentions you and Mr. Layton a lot.” Ms. Gillies smiled. She seemed like a great teacher. Even just talking about Miles, it looked like she cared about him. About her students. “You’ve taught him a lot, from what I’ve seen. He’s the top of his class.”
I shook my head. “That wasn’t all me. Uh— Old Ivan. He and Lights, they helped. Taught him more than I did, I think. Ivan was teaching him Trig. Before…”
“Oh. I’m sorry for your loss. I can’t imagine how jarring the transition has been moving up train. I know that Miles had to take a moment to adjust.”
“I’m adjusting fine.”
She wasn’t able to press, which she probably would have been great at, seeing as she taught the majority of children aboard the train. The paper maker from Third class arrived, Walter Flemming. She said goodbye and stood, going to greet him.
Melanie was first at the door, saying something to him. She turned away and then went to the side room, sitting with Ruth.
Their conversation and the tribunal’s conversation overlapped. It was a lot to keep track of, too much for me to do. I’d been nursing my glass of water for a while, and grew bored and simply drank the rest of the glass. I didn’t have anything to do here. I couldn’t walk, I couldn’t talk to anyone. Somehow, sitting here was worse than the Tail.
Ruth left. Something Melanie had said angered her. What could it have been?
“Would you mind taking everyone down to the court? It should be set up, and the gallery should begin to gather soon.” Melanie asked, speaking to the Notary and Tristan. They nodded, leading the members of the tribunal out of the Hospitality car.
“When are we going to go down?”
“Closer to when the trial begins.” she dismissed me, “Third class currently needs to decide who they would like to have to attend the trial. Then, they’ll need to travel up train. We have a few minutes until we need to leave.”
She’s stalling for something.
She’s afraid.
The first murder trial that spans the entire train. The first trial where both killers are from First class, where any killer is from First class. She’s afraid. The integrity of the train is beginning to crumble, and it’s all going to lead back to her. A trail of lies, big and small, that have kept this train running for seven years.
