From Me To You
Paul at one of the last Beatles photo sessions
It was 53 years ago today, Sergeant Pepper taught the band to play...
“It took 129 days to record, between autumn 1966 and spring 1967, and it changed the world. May have all but disappeared under an avalanche of hyperbole, but if there’s one reason why this album stands the test of time it’s because its sum is greater than its whole.” – BBC.
Happy 53th anniversary to one of the greatest albums of all time!

Original George Harrison photo 1967
George Harrison during the filming of Magical Mystery Tour (1967)
One of the strangest moments [of the Magical Mystery Tour] happened during the filming of a chaotic scene in which I and many other members of the cast kept climbing in and out of a tiny tent set up in the middle of the countryside. At one point, as I crawled out of the canvas, I noticed George Harrison sitting cross-legged in a cornfield, meditating peacefully in his oversized blue jacket, not too far from our film set. The contrast of our rowdy tent shenanigans with his transcendental chill-out moment was as surreal as anything in the film itself. I certainly couldn’t have managed such a feat.

“George is adorable. He is a charming, funny, easygoing boy, always full of energy. I love when he wears a simple pullover and blue jeans….a prince and a beatnik in one single person: I thought that didn’t exist.“ - Pattie Boyd
