Unpopular opinion but women shouldn’t have to write 6 paragraph text posts to defend their right to refuse sex with anyone for any reason. Anyone who disagrees with that statement is a rapist or a rape apologist. End of story.
utterly appalled at the amount of notes this has… y’all are really turning this blind of an eye to transphobia nowadays? wild.
but no, the whole “no one’s entitled to sex with anyone else” argument is DEFINITELY a good faith argument and NOT a tranphobic dog whistle 🙄
so being against rape culture (specifically the idea that people are entitled to sex from whoever they want) is transphobic. how telling…
I knew as soon as I saw “queer” in the url that this shit bag would be defending rape.
“Trans” is a rape movement.
I love this exchange. it’s such a perfect demonstration of a dogwhistle in effect you couldn’t make something better for a textbook example if you tried, and it’s meta, being also a perfect example of how pointing out dogwhistles can just play into the strategy. the shifting of focus from the context of the original post to its content is somehow both smooth and as blatant as possible, zero subtlety. the rhetorical steps even map 1:1 onto the added posts. it’s awesome
Please for the love of God learn what a dogwhistle is. People saying exactly what they mean is not a dogwhistle. “Nobody has to justify why they say no to sex, and if you think they do you’re a rape apologist” is exactly what the OP said and it’s exactly what the OP meant.
If you think this post has “transphobic” implications, it’s because you know that people expect lesbians to justify why they won’t have sex with males. (and expect gay men to justify why they won’t have sex with females, and even to some extent expect heterosexuals to justify why they won’t sleep with the same sex.)
And if you’re okay with that, you’re a rape apologist. If you’re not, apparently you’re a transphobe.
I know which one I’d rather be.
You know who really knows about rape? Wesley “Laurelai” Bailey, creator of “Shinigami Eyes” - the extension seen in the screenshot from @official-queer - and actual rapist.
Gosh, it’s wild how the trans community and their supporters just can’t stop themselves from using and promoting a browser extension made by a rapist. Ah, well, I’m sure it’s not a symptom of their community accepting and refusing to condone predators, rapists, and perverts of all kinds.
