Dying will flames, rings, and boxes are a major part of the Reborn's power system, but I really-really love the battles before they were introduced. There is something so incredibly charming about battles that make no sense yet aren't magic: Gokudera can perfectly direct his dynamite, sure! Yamamoto swings the bat so fast it turns into a katana, I love it (even the waterbending)! Ken nearly transforms into an animal by changing his teeth. Incredible! Mukuro casts illusions and possesses people by cutting them with his trident. Tell me more! Bianchi can apply poison through her skin. Just M.M. and Chikusa. Shamal weaponized every disease known and unknown to mankind. Do you remember that time Ryohei used his sweat to break lightbulbs? Levi uses lightning umbrellas, oh, and Lambo is lightning-proof by the way. I-pin blows up! You know that Bel's bullshit shouldn't work either, but who cares?! I LOVE IT ALL

The thing that fascinates me about the way women are written and drawn in Marriage Toxin, is that it gives me a strong feeling that it's done by someone who LOVES women (to a degree that I would expect from a woman)

It's unreal how sweet Chainsaw Man's ending is, of ALL things. The series is so emotionally exhausting (not even in a bad way), that it feels weirdly comforting to me. When I say "sweet" I mean specifically Tatsuki Fujimoto's kind of sweet. Because even this world feels wrong. Not seeing Aki just leaves this hole in my heart (maybe hybrids couldn't be "reset"). But Pochita tried. Something-something that's just how life is.

started playing Fields of Minstria; just met all the villagers, and I don't know why, but I thought there was an elderly gay couple, but... no? I don't know why I thought that. Maybe when seeing the character designs in passing, I just assumed some of them were married. I definetly though Hemlock was running an Inn with his husband, and Terithia/Elsie were a couple. With how queer-positive the game is, I am surprised there are no queer characters (the player-sexual romance options don't count).
