Boy/Girl this is how it starts. If biology has chosen your sex, society has created your gender. The first issue of WE ARE SOME WILD CHILDREN will question the notion of gender and re-think the male/female binary-system we sadly still live in. Opening up to wider perspectives, deconstructing our societal stereotypes, documenting identity construction, this issue will try to expose what we truly believe in: gender-identification should be one individualâs matter and nobody else.Â
Submit your work (e.g. photography, video, gif, performance, testimoniesâŠ) to be featured in the WASWC#1: Letâs Talk About Gender due by December. Deadline: Sunday 16 November Hope to hear from you soon đđđÂ
Submit!! The lovely people at We Are Some Wild Children are creating a magazine.Â
Submit to their first issue!Â
Peachy ânâ Keen want to say a MASSIVE THANK YOU to everyone who has donated to our Kickstarter. Within one week of starting, we have managed to beat our target and we wouldnât have been able to do it without all of your help.
This money is going to help us fund our next exhibition and get our calendar printed. Without it, we wouldnât have been able to rent the exhibition space, print some beautiful prints and put our calendar together! Every Peachy show has always come out of mine and Eleniâs pockets â we are not-for-profit and every penny we make goes straight back into funding our next Peachy project.
HOWEVER we still have 3 weeks left of crowd funding, and we donât want to stop here. This ÂŁ300 will help us cover the basics above, but with extra donations we will make it bigger and better than ever, and will go towards future projects.
Any further donations will help us get more female art into print: plans for 2015 include making zines, curating further shows across the UK and working towards a dreamy magazine in PRINT! We also want to get some Peachy merchandise available â think totes and tees. But one important thing for us is to eventually be able to give back to the artists, writers and other contributors who we work with on our exhibitions and online magazine. The whole team at Peachy works for free, spending the wee hours of the morning after work/uni/life giving you Peachy ânâ Keen. Eleni and I would love to eventually be in a position where we can give back to those who have helped us.
And with more donations we can move towards that! Weâve added new rewards; just a small donation of ÂŁ5 and you will receive a beautifully printed image from one of our four exhibitions. Weâve added more large prints, for a donation of ÂŁ20. And for a tiny donation of ÂŁ1 youâll get the cutest-ever email from the Peachy gals sending you ALL our love. So whatever your budget, you can expect to get a lilâ something back from us.
So, thank you again to everyone who has donated already. We are forever grateful. And if you havenât â please do!
 Lots and lots of love,
 Rhiannon and Eleni,
Peachy ânâ Keen
xx

Submission closing date for Issue #2 is 16th November. Every submission will be viewed at least twice by separate members of the editorial team. Get them in and please help us spread the word by sharing this.Â

Peachy 'n' Keen is creating a calendar to represent women of all shapes and sizes, and kicking it off with an exhibition in London! Help us by donating to our Kickstarter!
Peachy 'n' Keen need your help!
Peachy 'n' Keen are creating a calendar, representing women of all different shapes and sizes â peachy style. This isnât your standard misogynistic pin-up. This is a celebration of all things female â short, tall, white, black, small, large, hairy, bald and anything in between.
Like many of you, weâre fed up of unrealistic expectations so weâre showing you the reality.
Alongside the calendar we will be putting up an exhibition at Doomed Gallery London in December which will show an extended version of the calendar. It will be sold online and at the exhibition.
With photographers like Charlotte Rutherford, Francesca Allen, Nadia Lee, Mathilda Hill-Jenkins and Belinda Whitfield (plus more to be announced!) this is going to be an amazing project to be a part of.
But we need your help to cover the costs of making the calendars and setting up the exhibition that will coincide with the launch of the calendar.
So please donate anything you can! Any profits will be put straight back into future Peachy projects.
