Let’s start of with the twins. As an Asian, I literally did not give a single fuck that they ended up being pieces of shit. Well, I mean, I did because they hurt my baby but not because they’re asian. I never trusted them from the beginning and I was uncomfortable during the sex scene because I knew shit was going to go down (that and they’re twins I mean I need to be prepared if incest is gonna happen it took me a while before I could even watch game of thrones cause I knew that shit would make me uncomfortable)
Issac isn’t hurting and grieving because he’s black. He’s hurting and grieving because Dracula fucking died. And he wants to fulfill Dracula’s wish because he looks up to the man and feels like he owes him for saving his life (that and he also hates humans but I digress. Also I’m really glad he’s meeting humans who are nice to him and he could possibly change his mind on them later on) And Alucard isn’t hurting and grieving and having all of that shit piled onto him because he’s bi. But because he killed his own father, his mother is gone, his friends left him (btw Trevor and Sypha go get your mans next season or I swear to god), he’s lonely, he tried to replace his loneliness by opening up to Sumi and Taka but then they fucking stabbed him in the back for what? Not giving them all the information after only living with him for a month? And some people are like “oh, Trevor has trauma but it was never even brought up because he’s white” like?????? No???????? Last I checked, Trevor was never really one to bring up his past unless it was sarcastic (defense mechanism, obviously) and it’s not like he’s gonna start doing it now all of a sudden.
And onto Hector and Lenore. Did she have to use sex to get him to fall into her trap? No. But should we be mad that she used romantic and physical feelings to do it? Absolutely not. She’s an evil fucking genius. I respect that, but still. She knew exactly what was going to get him to fall into her trap the quickest and the easiest. It’s not like she was openly sexual from the very beginning. No. She won his trust first by being a friend. Not a lover. But a friend. And let me just point out. She was never asked to do this. She volunteered and didn’t even reveal her plan to the other vampires. She did this all on her own without any influence from anyone else. Do women have to use their body to get what they want? No. But they can if they want to and she knew that she could and she wanted to. She took full advantage of that and won.
As a woman, I’m not mad that Lenore used her body to win over Hector. As an Asian, I’m not mad that Sumi and Taka are assholes. As an African, I’m not mad that Issac wants to kill the fucking human race.
People don’t get a pass just because they’re a minority. Asian people are just as capable of being evil. African people are just as capable of being evil. LGBT+ people are just as capable of being evil. Women are just as capable of being evil. Literally everyone is capable of being evil. Lowkey I’m offended that people don’t think that haha.
What’s pisses me off the most is that if this was a white, cis, het man. No one would even blink an eye but because these people are minorities (who, might I add, weren’t the only villains in this season) you’ve gotta find a way to excuse it. Idk about you but that sounds a bit discriminatory to me?
