The TROS premiere is in less than a month, so I made a new Reylo/TROS calendar for everyone to cross off the days (starting tomorrow), similar to the one I made for TLJ. This time there’s two versions, dark side and light side.
Thanks Game of Thrones for all the reunions EXCEPT THE ONE I WANTED!!!!!!

The Last Jedi Parallels, Part 1: Rey’s Training on Ahch-To
Rey’s Jedi training arc in The Last Jedi has many parallels to Luke’s training on Dagobah in The Empire Strikes Back, though there also a few references to other scenes in the original trilogy.
The Reluctant Teacher
In ESB, Luke is looking for the Jedi Master Yoda, who went into exile after Anakin’s turn to the dark side and now lives on Dagobah. In TLJ, Rey is looking for the Jedi Master Luke, who went into exile after Ben’s turn to the dark side and now lives on Ahch-To. Both Jedi Masters are reluctant to teach them at first. Yoda does not want to train Luke, as he deems him too old, reckless and too much like his father. Luke in TLJ does not believe in the Jedi ways anymore and refuses to train Rey. He also fears her powers that remind him of Kylo.
Luke’s first act in TLJ is to throw away the lightsaber that Rey hands him. This is a reference to Return of the Jedi, where he throws away the saber when he doesn’t want to kill his father. In RotJ, he gives up his weapon after giving in to his anger, cutting off his father’s hand and almost killing him. The gesture in TLJ is similar, since the last time he held a lightsaber was (probably) when he almost killed his nephew. In both cases, the Jedi weapon reminds him of his failure, since his impulsiveness almost led him down a dark path, and maybe he also doesn’t trust himself and wants to get rid of the temptation of the dark side.

Alice in Wonderland (1951) – The Last Jedi (2017)
The human brain is amazing. It functions 24/7 from the day we are born and only stops when you’re taking a test or speaking to someone attractive.
Just noticed this Anidala, Han/Leia and Reylo parallel. In the second film of each trilogy there is always a scene where the guy makes the girl feel flustered and she tells him to stop or change his behaviour, which he ignores.
In AotC Anakin tries to flirt with Padme when he tells her that he's grown up. It makes her uncomfortable, so she asks him to stop. Instead of complying with her request, he's challenging her ("Why not?"). She then tells him that it makes her uncomfortable and turns away.
In ESB the Falcon jolts and Leia is pushed into Han's arms. She asks him to let go, but he ignores her wishes and holds on to her, telling her not to get excited. She is trying to act unfazed with her retort and he leaves her alone, but Leia is still flustered when he's gone.
In TLJ Rey asks Ben why he hated his father. When she realizes he is shirtless, she becomes flustered and looks away. She asks him if he could put on a cowl, but he ignores her request and approaches her. Unlike Anakin and Han he doesn’t say anything, so she changes the subject back to Han.
The Adventures of Chewie-the-Wook
The most adorable thing ever. I needed this tonight.

Episode IX's Working Title...
Okay, so originally IX’s working title was ‘Black Diamond’ but according to Fantha Tracks has been changed to TrIXie…. Which at first sounds really odd besides the 9 in the middle. So of course I looked up the name Trixie, which means 'bringer of joy/blessings’, and is a nickname for Beatrice. What’s a famous use of that name? Shakespeare’s Much Ado About Nothing; which features Beatrice & Benedick, two people who seem to hate each other but are “tricked to confessing their love for one another”, and it is said about them; “These two characters exemplify the expression "the course of true love never did run smooth.” Hmmm….. P.S. the story ends with a double wedding. ^_^
Wyatt. Take me to him.
