Thanks fella, for making my day!
Last time I was on this field, I threw a 3-hit shut out #nostalgia
What sweet kids! I'm going to miss them 'till next season!
Picked up 4 out of 5 with the ice bath trick :)
Operation save the hydrangeas!
Line drawing-1st step
My first 20 miler! I stink, my thighs hurt & I'm chaffed, but I did it!!! (Taken with Instagram)
Settling in for a long day (Taken with Instagram)
Toaster filter seems appropriate as these guys are done. Parting is such sweet sorrow. These sneaks brought me back from my injury-and much more. (Taken with Instagram)
His legs are spent after those hills!
My boy pounding the pavement hard this morning! 4x1000m hill repeats He ran all of them faster then 5 minutes I drove up & down the hill, to transport him from top to bottom-which also serves as his rest. He's hardcore :)
Thanks random Greenwich mansion for the refill.
Past few days...
On Wednesday, I was supposed to run 14 miles. That didn’t happen-not even close. I had a light procedure for my acne that required me to stay out of the sun for 2 days. That meant starting my 14 miler at about 6pm. I didn’t exactly sit around all day & wait (did some errands) so I wasn’t as fresh as I would’ve been in the morning. I ran well the first hour. Then I just lost all interest. My feet were bothering me in the new sneakers. I had the Super Feet in (not the custom orthotics) & I was sliding around too much. I wore the ortho’s the previous Friday & my right foot went numb after 26 minutes, so i need to spend my shorter runs breaking those in. So, I’ve got yet another foot dilemma. ::le sigh:: I think I may go back into the store & find a pair of ‘mediator’ shoes, that i can use in the interim of breaking in the ortho’s. Wednesday night, I lifted with D. I sometimes complain about what we do, but I knew I blew the 14 (he greeted me with “bad girl!” when I arrived) & I simply had to shut up & do the workout. The sneakers affected that workout too & I wound up taking off my shoes for the last few exercises. I did well otherwise. Seeing my legs thin out & making some gains, as far as reps & weights go. Thursday am, I met with one if the guys in the club to get in a ride. I was supposed to do this ride on the computrainer, but just had my Zipps put on & i was itching to try them out. We bundled up & rode out into the fall air. I think temps were below or near 60 when starting. We rode hard the first few miles to get through the morning traffic & towards the beach. The wheels felt fast & light. They’re fun! The ride then became more social in the beach area. As we approached the hill section, we both kinda grunted up them. He pulls back when he rides with me, which is nice of him to stick close by. I often feel totally defeated when I’m passed/dropped. We cut out the last nasty hill & bipassed it with a short cut. The ride had gone on over my 90 minutes anyway.
Recovering together from the weight room. Cheers mate! (Taken with Instagram)

3300
Decently tough swim. 1000wu 5x200 free 2x500 free 300cd More mentally tough because it was kinda boring & no use of pool toys, other than pull buoy & hand fins in a few warm up hundreds. My swim coach has a plan for me that we discussed after practice. Next two weeks, we'll swim 3600. The very next swim after that will be an hour + 15 to see if that brings me over 4000. My goal is faster than 1:15, so that test will be a good measure. I wonder how to compare a pool 4000 to an OWS 4000. Wetsuit, waves & walls are all factors.
