This was one of the best friendships. When I first started watching it I thought Mandy hated Billy or it was just one of those type of relationships where the annoying kid harassed the loner and it was simply tolerated (or not.) Kinda like the beginning friendship stage of Raven and Beastboy.  BUT THATS NOT THE CASE. Mandy loves Billy and considers him her best friend! And in the episode where she was an evil ruler, she KNEW Billy would betray her (because he’s stupid and not because he hates her) with the rebels and tricks him into tricking them so she could overthrow them! And continues to be his friend because she knew he didn’t mean it!

I LOVE THIS FRIENDSHIP.

So I had a scare tonight.

My mom, about fifteen years ago had something called Diverticulitis, which is handled fairly easily, but I wanted to mention a few things about it.

Tonight, at about 10:00 PM, my mother collapsed in the bathroom. Excluding the 911 call and the ambulance/paramedics that arrived, everything went very fast.

We only just got home at 4:30 AM to learn one important thing. Near the bowels there is a nerve that runs along the length of the spine, when touched or irritated, this nerve will cause fainting (syncope)

Which, I learned tonight, is very frightening when you have no fucking clue what's going on.

So, awareness for the oddity that is Diverticulitis and the only real problem that stems from it, aside from the occasional discomfort or stress. Fainting is actually dangerous, for those who figured it out, it's not because of the act of fainting, it's what you hit on your way down.

(not that she did, she called to me and I was very very luckily able to let her down gently.)
