Alexander realises the pain has disappeared ; he’s weightless, and warm, and the cold tremors that death brought with it are gone.

But, more importantly, he can feel him again - the soft curls, the freckles which painted maps and stars across his skin, the warmth of his voice and his general touch.

Alexander can feel John clutched in his arms, and they are both breathing in harmony, struggling to make out words in between the embrace and the soft kisses that Alexander had waited so long for - they were together, on the other side.

Percival decides that breathing is too much pain to be worth it, just need hours after his resurrection. He shivers in the dark room, reaching for something to tinker with, to take his mind off of the events day before (it’s ripley and orthax and gunshots chanting in his mind endlessly-), and he only finds strands of hair. Vax'ildan wraps his arms around Percival, and the warmth seeps through Percy ; breathing becomes a little less painful in that moment.
