[Description: a looping bouncy animation of grace and Rocky from project hail mary. Grace throws himself onto rocky for a hug, smiling and nuzzling his face to the top of Rocky's xenonite covered carapace. Rocky brings a claw up to ruffle Grace's hair and grace throws himself even more on top of rocky, rocky wrapping his arms around grace. End description.]
Why are all the fashion trends I like happening now and not like 15 years ago? Where the fuck were you when I was a teenager?

Let me be the first to welcome our guests from the Inquisitorius. We are grateful that Lord Vader has shown an interest in our operations. Our enemies are numerous, but with the intelligence our Bureau provides, we will prevail.

PEDRO PASCAL as GENERAL ACACIUS Gladiator II (2024) | dir. Ridley Scott
Finally finished reading Exodus the Archimedes Engine. I think the book was overall good and the setting's interesting. More hard sci-fi than I expected for something that's been advertised as the next Mass Effect.
What I found frustrating about the book was that since it has multiple sets of characters that it follows, whenever I finally started to find the current set of characters and what they're doing interesting, the book would switch to another set of characters. The worst of this has to be when Otylia tells Finn that everything's gone wrong and then the book spends around 200 pages explaining in detail how everything happened until we finally get back to Otylia and Finn.
I found that my opinion on the characters kept kind of flip-flopping as I read more. I found Terence to be boring at first but in the end I think he was one of the more characters. I wish we'd seen more Makaio and the other Lords. Josias and Ellie were interesting at first but I found myself becoming less interested in them while Finn was also somewhat boring at first.

From the artist: "Anakin likes to loiter outside the Republic Palace of Coruscant for no reason at all. It's definitely not because this is the route the Queen of Naboo walks every day. Thankfully, Obi-Wan always seems to be looking elsewhere..."
