Oh. Thanks. [Minori & Mistel]
reap-the-harvest:
[Nods her head, a friendly smile on her face, whatever sarcasm that comes from him completely lost on her, and had she caught it, surely it would not be due the pearl incident in which she was sure she made up for and what little to no guilt guilt she felt was completely wiped free of her own conscious. Mmhm.]
[And as he continues, she admittedly is a bit oblivious to these implications he mentions as well, for Minoriās understanding of the holiday and Mistelās understanding of the holiday seemed to be two different understandings; two understandings that she was not aware were different.]
Oh, well, you know! It isnāt really a Thanksgiving present if there isnāt chocolate! [Well, thatās what she was told, anyway.] And I know we havenāt known each other for too long now, but I think youāre nice and fun to talk to, and thought it was only appropriate to show my appreciation, of course!
Is that right? [Heās pretty sure thatās not entirely true; heās received plenty of Thanksgiving presents since he arrived in Oak Tree, chocolate or not. Heās also fairly certain that none of them were gifted to him because he is nice or fun to talk to, but heās not going to pick nits over a gift. He shrugs, deciding not to press the matter any further if Minori is going to feign ignorance as to what the chocolate itself means.]
Well, thank you then. I appreciate the gesture as much as I value our friendship. [He smiles extra wide at this part, masking his sarcasm, muting it.] Iāll be sure to repay it come White Day. [He smiles, setting the cake down on the counter of his shop-- a temporary home before he gives it to his sister.]Ā
