Positive/ Negative space ODC_seeds (sort of) by PegBecks Via Flickr: I like this fern for its tiny spores that are how the fern reproduces - www.anbg.gov.au/fern/life_cycle.html - not with seeds. Lit from behind with a curtain and a purple glass in the background. Look closely and you can find a couple of, ahem, dog hairs that I did not notice as I took the picture.
old grader by PegBecks Via Flickr: Final, I hope, revisit to the snows of winter 2016-2017. Oft-photographed, this barn and series of old graders is interesting at every season.

Closeup of an emery from the Sabbathday Lake Shaker Village. Look for the edited version in the gift shop at the Village. I have a series of photos taken inside the Shaker Village buildings. They are available as edited and signed prints from me or on archival cards at the gift shop. New Gloucester, Maine.

“Reading is not an option” was his platform as YA literature ambassador, and he once told School Library Journal, “As a young man, I saw families prosper without reading, because there were always sufficient opportunities for willing workers who could follow simple instructions. This is no longer the case. Children who don’t read are, in the main, destined for lesser lives. I feel a deep sense of responsibility to change this.”
