“Don’–.” He fell silent, not wanting to voice any more complaints. They needed this place. They needed the safety. He didn’t, but they did.

“No.” He lied, shifting a little from foot to foot.

Carol just sighs softly - she isn't stupid yet she doesn't want to argue with Daryl either. "Fine. But if you get hungry later on I'll leave you some leftovers.."  She murmurs before turning away and disappearing off into the kitchen with everyone else. 

                                            "Can't let you go and starve yourself.."

Aaron didn’t know Carol much, but he knew she wasn’t as weak or useless as he’d seen her pretend to be since  arriving in Alexandria. He’d watched them for almost a  month and seen how she was. “I found this in Pete’s other house,” he said handing her a clean casserole dish, “I knew it was yours because someone saw you going in. Thought I’d return it to you since now he can’t.”

Carol doesn't even say anything about it - she just looks up at Aaron with a small smile and takes the dish without hesitation. "Thank you." Is all she replies before nodding and putting the dish on the side.

                    "I forgot all about it so I'm grateful for you bringing it back."

What else was she suppose to say? The only thing that could worry her now was if Aaron asked anything about why she was there in the first place - Carol only hoped he wouldn't bring it up.

“I’m tryin’, Carol.” He implored quietly, doing his shirt up and tugging at it unenthusiastically.

"I know Daryl honey but..we're just going to have to keep it up for just a little longer."

"Besides, you know Rick isn't going to keep us here for much longer. The sooner we're out of here the better you'll feel after. Now - are you hungry?"
