If there was one thing she couldn’t say, it was that the school skimped out on a hotel. The view was to die for. The brunette watched the city lights flicker as she finished of the end of her joint. Nights were always better when her mind wasn’t clear. The pounding of loss, the draining feeling of depression was all patched by a little substance abuse. Her eyes were soon taken away by the sound of knocking. It must have been Penny. “It’s open!” the girl yelled as she threw the stub off the balcony.

Penny made her way down the hallway of the fancy hotel they we’re in, running her hands along the wall. She was already pretty drunk, and she tried to enjoy the way she was feeling. She could feel sad thoughts creep into her mind, but she tried to block them. She was in this amazing hotel and she was going to have a brilliant night. Penny opened the door when she heard Iris’ voice. The smell of weed hit her face, and she began to smile. “Please tell me you have some left for me.” She plopped herself next to Iris. Penny looked at the view and took a deep breathe. “Damn, it’s so beautiful.” Even though it wasn’t a New York City skyline, it was still gorgeous.
