11 builds, 7 households (loner + singles are binned)

this is a recreation of strangetown from the sims 2. i made everything as accurate as i possibly could without using any cc. all original builds and households are there. all other worlds are untouched with their original names.

this is a save file, so there are no tray files needed. just drop the file in your saves folder, load the game and play. the save file has been renamed so it shouldn’t overwrite anything.

fyi: when you load this save, you’ll see that a couple of achievements have been unlocked already. some of these households required a bit of pre-playing to set up their stories, and this was unavoidable. some sims will have a few random skill points too, hope that’s not too annoying.

i just learned something i wanted to share, very helpful if you’re trying to organize your downloads folder - type * in the search bar on the top right of your window when you’re in a folder and it will show ALL files even those in subfolders, which makes for easy movement of many files at once!

I have sim problems! I’m currently revamping and playing strangetown, and the aging is going haywire. None of the teens actually age, they are all stuck at ‘4 days until adult’ with the exception of Ripp, every adult tends to get an ‘it’s almost x’s birthday!’ message even when they are nowhere near elderhood, and every time a baby is born (except for Pascal’s alien baby) the birthing sim ages down to a teenager on their last day of teenhood. Does anyone know what could be causing this???

Do you use InSim? Strangetown has huge DNA issues that play badly with InSim, but many aging problems can be fixed by spawning the Sim’s biological clock.

More defaults ^_^ These are all the basegame child and toddler hairs. Poppet’s v2 colors and textures, except for Myos25, Natrobo’s braids and ModTwist 3t2, those are recolors rather than retextures.

CFhairBun replaced with MTcakestore’s hair6 (all ages by trapping). This one is ridiculously high-poly.. I did a mesh edit to get rid of some strands but it’s still over 19000. Use with care ^^
