Americans have largely forgotten the anti-Communist sentiment from decades past. Anti-communism has been a powerful force for over 150 years. American communism has always been racialized. When Jim Crow laws banned interracial organization, the Communist Party was the only group that dared to flout the rule. Socialists and Communists in the South in the 1930s fought both economic and racial inequality - an important lessor for today's developing socialist movement.

Donald Trump is NOT inexplicable or unimaginable!  He is the product of this racist, anti-immigrant, sexist and classist society.  He is a product of capitalist crisis...in Europe, there are Marine Le Pen (France), Heinz-Christian Strache (Austria) and many others running around, spewing hate...They are all products of a system that wants to continue to enslave us...even as it destroys the world.  We need an Independent People's Party to deal with this global crisis...we can't depend on the Democratic and Republican Parties to represent us, when they are owned by and represent the rich!   If you want to build and Independent Political Party join us in NYC on Friday July 29th to get this process in motion!  Will you be there??

What is International Workers’ Day May Day? What does it meant to working people in the Bronx? New York CIty? the United States?

The political education session will be held in the lobby of 2800 University Avenue, where we have been organizing tenants towards Popular Control and Fundamental Social Change for the last two years. These bi-monthly sessions will aim to continue educating our neighbors in order to win the Kingsbridge struggle against racism, sexism, and capitalism. 

The purpose of Political Education is to educate our members and the community about our history and to raise political consciousness through historical and critical analysis. We believe that consciousness grows with the process of struggle. Therefore, by studying our struggles we empower ourselves to organize and liberate our communities from racism/white supremacy, sexism, and capitalism. We also believe that practice without theory is blind, and that theory without practice is aimless. Thus, our political education sessions serve as a compass for our political actions as we fight to achieve fundamental social change and obtain a humane society.

Together, we can make a change!!
