This gorgeous purple pitcher plant was blooming at my local garden center (Dearborn Farms). I’d never seen a purple pitcher in bloom, so I had to take snag a quick pic of the ridiculously plushy seeming flower. It looks like a pillow!
guess who added these little beauties to their family? This gal <3

Как и обещала, выкладываю видео с обеда ))
My bog garden with moss wall is starting to fill out nicely but I really need to hide those nasty white pipes!
Stunning!
Nepenthes mirabilis v. echinostoma, perhaps the most reptilian/alien looking of all pitcher plants.

Here’s some more out of focus photos taken in a dull Saturday morning just before we go out shopping……yawn

Well, the Darlingtonia has been outside a few weeks and seems very happy. The flower stem is now growing upwards, after heading sideways, and then bending 90 degrees and going downwards (crazy plant). You may just be able to see the start of a new pitcher at the base of the flower stalk (the bright red slither).
Indoors, the new Pinguicula seem to have settled well and I am now out of space, so a few duplicates of other plants will have to go…
