It's true what they say: it ain't pretty.
Am I still on time? I hereby wish everyone all the best for 2022! And also the end of the pandemic. That too. - Pepijn
Happy Halloween!
‘Does it move?’
I hope you all had a happy Easter!
I hereby wish everyone all the best for 2021! And also a vaccination ;)
It’s online! Here it is, my very own website: www.pepijnclaus.com I’m always open for feedback! Greetings, Pepijn
A comic about my childhood, which I drew with great love. Enjoy :)
Since everyone was doing it, I couldn't stay behind: here is my @quarantekening in Ghent ! As you might notice, the sketch is a bit different than what’s presented on the window. The reason: drawing on a window is hard ;) A big thanks to all the doctors to help us get through these weird and difficult times. :) Also: in Belgium, we have the habit to put a teddybear in front of our window. Because of this, I gave the Super-Doctor a trusty companion. His sidekick, if you will. Stay safe, everyone!
Some time ago, before these Corona-times, I got my drivers license! :D Vroom vroom!
Last week, one of the greatest draftsman ever lived past away. I am a bit late, but this is my homage to Albert Uderzo. Thanks for your humorous, educational and beautifully drawn Asterix comics. I’m sure your style influenced and inspired a ton of artists.
A while ago, the Belgian magazine De Tijd had a contest: make a cartoon about what you think will happen this century. I wanted to participate and… was one of the 8, in a list of hundreds, who got selected! :D I didn’t win, but at least made the shortlist!
I wish I had post this way sooner, but let’s pretend it’s still Christmas until the end of 2019. ;) This work represents my Christmas-card for the contest #laatzienwiejebent for @drukwerkdeal, which was later nominated by the talented @cyarindraws to compete against 7 other Christmas-cards. The kitty represents my girlfriend’s grumpy cat “Poes”. You can find some photos of him underneath. :)
Some months ago I had, once again, the privilege to do portrait-drawing at a festival, called “Diggie Feest” (Diggie Festival). A special guest this year was the famous Belgian children’s book writer Marc De Bel. He came to my table and asked if I could make a portrait of him as well, which I (of course) agreed to do. “I’ll try”, I answered, “but I’m not @janbosschaert”. He laughed and sat down.
Although he looks a lot younger on the portrait, I’m very proud I had the opportunity to draw him. He was a very kind, interesting person to be with for 20 minutes. Hope I’ll see him again in the future.
In @mitchleeuwe 's Animal Lessons, he talks about using the CSI method and applied this principle (among other animals) on owls. Because I thought this was some interesting knowledge and because I’m kinda fond of these birds, I decided to give it a try. WooHoo!
Some time ago my girlfriend and I went on a trip to Granada (Spain), which was a beautiful city that I highly recommend to visit! Because we really loved the view we had from our balcony, I decided to make a watercolor of it.
Something else I can cross off my bucket list: designing the label of a beer brand, named “Diggieaan” (“Diggiean” in English)
Cheers 🍻
