How did the children's parents react when they saw them transformed? Did they think they were just in costume or that it was some kind of joke?

i assume by screaming and panicking? kids mostly stayed at or around the circus, or they were taken to the hospital since they looked sick. the townsfolk chalked it up to mass hysteria or plain excitement over what was probably a meme. the second they turned into carnies, there wasnt time to react before they started biting everyone in their vicinity. it was really funny for like two seconds

What do you think would have happened if you had summoned Zestial instead of Rosie?

Ohhhh that is interesting to think about.

Hmm, Zestial seems to be the only character Alastor shows deference to and the only male character he openly respects.

My own little personal headcanon is that Alastor does look up to Zestial in a way. If only for how much of a force of nature Zestial is. They are alot alike when you think about it. I also think Zestial holds Alastor in some high regard.

I can see Zestial taking a Mentor role to Alastor. He would clock that Alastor died young and act as an elder. He’d also notice that Alastor is a lot like him and would help nurture that chaotic spark.

He would be ecstatic that Alastor shares a love of his personal brand of entertainment and would happily unleash him on Pentagram city. He wouldn’t keep him as restricted as Rosie did. He’d let him go wild.
