A short comic of D/Rogier, filled with dialogue that seems like what I wrote after losing my mind, and with completely meaningless metaphors... In this piece I HC Rogier is unaware that D and his younger brother are twins, since judging from Rogier’s letter, he should know very little about Devin’s private matters. Besides, anything not present in the original work is also my HC. I hope you enjoy reading~
P.S. This comic is originally written in Chinese, and I chose an artistic font that isn’t very friendly to OCR and machine translation, so I manually translated and embedded this English version for English readers. It may have many issues with bubble/text size alignment...
P.P.S This comic is really drawn with such amateurish quality that it seems to have made a countless number of mistakes, so the readability is likely very poor. And D & R, these two look so pretty that they pose a huge challenge to my art skills... Sorry for making them look twisted and awkward. idk I just think happy queer stories need to be properly labeled so I can be warned beforehand to not get invested in the main ship because there won't be a culminating catharsis of mutual corruption and self-betrayal crystalizing into an inevitable murder-suicide :/ . like I don't think happy endings in queer media shouldn't be "allowed" to exist or whatever I just think tbh honestly to be honest that those creators need to think and be more responsible and let me have my boundary of nottttt wanting to see that. this is because I feel it's really important for me to see myself represented and reflected positively on screen and the real truth of my lived experience is that I'm gay and evil and I'm not going to make it.

i think what the problem is honestly and truly is that game developers (and honestly lots and lots of people) don’t ever believe that a fat person could be comfortable in being fat , or that anyone could ever want to be fat or play as a fat person, period. and both these games share a similar issue where they don’t really have any fat main characters, and the fat characters they do have are evil and disgusting and constantly dunked on for their weight. it’s “escapism” and in people’s perfect escapist fantasy fat people don’t exist. everyone is beautiful and skinny and perfect. kind of evil if you ask me. escapist fantasy is very reflective of what we subconsciously believe.

and people love to make the “well if you’re an adventurer/fighter/mercenary/edgerunner you wouldn’t be fat” like oh so now we care about realism in video games . that’s what this is about? in our role playing games?
that's what fuckin kills me every time. for years the body positive movement had to argue against people saying "animating fat characters is impossible!" and then BG3 has like five of them and they're all some variety of greedy fucked up hedonist who's either an idiot coward or evil or both
and that it's 2026 now and your options for Fat Characters in shows/movies/games/whatever boil down to "this one isn't fatphobic (because no fats exist)" vs "this one has fat characters (the narrative is wildly horrible about them)" is fucking infuriating
the “sexy lamp test” but for disabled folks: if you can replace your disabled character with a beloved pet dog that needs an expensive surgery to survive then you have to throw out your manuscript
