Why

Why cant I just shut up

Why does my brain not stop my mouth from talking when I know I should just continue walking

How do I have so much self doubt, filling me up, taking my breath

but when I need it most its never about.

Why does my brain rethink every situation

But when it comes to needing to shut up words are as easy as human deteriation

Sometimes I wish I wasn't me,

why in a forest am I the shortest tree?

Why when I'm stressed do my words disappear

But when I'm angry, they go straight to top gear

Why do I act the way I do

Why cant be happier, prettier

a little more,

Like you.

I hate my body

Its lumpy and round in all the wrong places

My stomachs are dunes

Repeated and layered when i sit down

My back is curved, like a turn in the road

And my face is a bloated sponge

My teeth are never quite white, always too yellow to make the picture

My chest is uneven, a smuggled lime and coconut

My thighs jiggle and are big, but there's still a gap

Theyre indecisive, unsure whether to be skinny or fat

My back is dotted with red stars, burning harshly on the pale canvas

Scars run on my hands and my features are skewered like a wonky painting

I hate my body

I hate the way i feel in my skin
