Had to wake up at 4:15am today 😲 nothing that tea and coffee can't fix 😂
Lately I haven't seen my best friend in the same light as I have in the past. I feel as though we are growing apart and I now find the choices she makes either really unnecessary or just plain stupid. I'm not sure what to do at this stage. I don't want to lose her as a friend, at the same time I can't really handle her :( HELP!
Thank you for your question, Anon!I’ve been in a similar situation: one of my closest friends kept making poor decisions; things that I would consider to be detrimental to their emotional and physical health both in the short and long term. Every decision that they made started to become quite annoying to me as I grew constantly frustrated at their apparent “stupidity.”
I realised that the way I viewed my friend at the time was very “judging”. The best thing I could do for myself and for them was to accept the fact that the decisions they made were for their own happiness, but still make it clear to them my opinion. If they are your best friend, they should happily respect the advice you give to them, even if they don’t follow said advice; for which you must also respect.
I think the simplest solution is to sit down and talk about it in a passive way - even if it may be hard to do. Ignoring the problem will only push you two further away, so try to sort this out now before it gets more complicated!
I hope I was able to help. Good luck, Anon!
