~alright so. typically this song kinda sounds like it would be at the climax of a big battle or whatever, but i actually see it as something totally different. i can imagine this song beginning to play right as percabeth finishes their underwater kiss, the music then swelling and the shot panning out to show the rest of camp. i want scenes of the campfire finally burning bright after weeks of it smoking black. i want shots of friends finally finding the smallest bit of peace. i want to see juniper and grover and clarisse and chris and TRATIE. i want to see it all. and at the end as the music swells for one last time, i want the shot to slowly zoom away from camp and disappear into the golden clouds above. and i want to see the gods smiling faintly as they sit on their thrones. i want poseidon and athena to share the smallest of nods. and then as the music drops to quiet once again i want the shot to speed back down to percy and annabeth running down half blood hill together. and as the final note hits i want percy’s voice coming over in a crackling recording saying: “and for once, i didn’t look back.”

~okay so i normally think of this as a song for the ships in this series but as i was listening to it again it kinda hit home in this moment for me. it’s happy, but there’s also a lingering pain over it. it can be interpreted in either way and i find that spicy. also i want everything in this scene. i want demigods running into each other’s arms crying. i want people sitting around the campfire holding each other as they burn shrouds. i want people adding the newest bead to their camp necklaces. i want to see silena and charles reunited in elysium. i want to see luke saying goodbye to his father one last time in ghost form. and as the song closes and says “im on my way. i’m on my way. i’m going home.” i want to see the original trio standing arm in arm atop halfblood hill, slowly making their way into the valley, slowly coming back home~

~okay i feel like this one is a bit self explanatory, and i also feel like a lot of people have already had the idea to use this song during the final battle sO- anyways, i love it. can’t you imagine all the demigods left standing making a ring around the Empire State Building, hunters and campers reaching for their last arrow, the last of the metal statues stopping towards them on beat. and then BOOM the titan army appears and all hell reigns loose. hades RIPS out of the ground with nico and his skeletons, the centaurs get a second wing, sally shoots a shotgun at some monsters- AGH what a time 😭 anyways i love this song and this scene and i think yes~

~okay this song has me in tears but that’s besides the point. can you imagine nico lying defeated on the shores of the styx as this song plays in the background? can you imagine him working tirelessly to bring her back home? to see her one more time? i feel like there’s so many sad songs that could fit this moment but this one HITS DIFFERENT. and the music will swell as bianca finally appears in ghost form to say goodbye to nico one last time and 😭. anyways. this song >>> and i think it would be perfect for this moment~

~okay so this is ONLY for the preparations before the battle, not the actual battle itself. i like the vibe, the hype, the lyrics. AH, they all fit. also fallout boy? i think yes. their songs are literally perfect for pjo. anyways, can’t you just imagine demigods zipping around the city, the hunters appearing, demigods lining up at the bridges, time slowing around nyc, traps being set, the titan army appearing. GOSH ITS JUST SO PERFECT. i love it here~
