so ridiculously real… he always really fretted over his siblings safety in the first few books and felt responsible for them whenever they were at school. I think that’s a big reason he felt so hurt and refused to come home and fix things for so long because the only person who reached out was his mother. I think after the war he feels rather useless because he doesn’t think he has a place in their family anymore, especially not to take care of his siblings, who are all adults now.
