i can’t explain it but this is every zac oyama dnd character at once
some concept art for the project There are still things i haven’t decided on like how detailed i should draw Clone’s hair, what patterns to include in the disk design and of course…a spaceship is a whole thing…it’s only the second spaceship i’ve ever designed so
“The Unwritten Lady Dwarves of Middle Earth”
I wanted to see more lady dwarves in the Hobbit and Lord of the Rings films, so I endeavoured to make them myself. Because ladies are great and beards are fab.

I’m in love with this series!
hey babe did it hurt when you fell from heaven? it did huh, emotionally, right I get that, because of the– yeah the irreconcilable separation from goodness as a result of a single decision that can never be undone or atoned for, uh huh, sounds rough

concept: a death god that is actually surprisingly supportive and on the side of the good guys, supporting actions and promoting policies that will lead to the kingdom growing and thriving instead of being destroyed, because the more the kingdom grows, the more people there are, and the more people there are the more people will eventually die, and when you’re an immortal god of death, you know there’s no need to rush. you’ll get them all in the end
i like how the responses on this post are cleanly split between “hey this is a great story idea i love it” and “this is absolutely terrifying”
Yes. A Death that is kind, and patient, and inevitable.
A Death that need not fight against you, that will often fight for you, because why not? It will gather you home eventually. Why not enjoy you first?
A Death that treasures those who fight it most ardently. That loves healers and defenders and survivalists and necromancers and mad scientists and immortal gods. That lets them pour everything they are into fighting it, denying it, adoring every desperate scrap of strength and will and brilliance and raw determination poured out against it. That catches you when your strength is done and all your will and brilliance run out, that gathers you close beneath a warm, dark cloak, and whispers well done, oh child, you were magnificent, well done.
A Death who will not seek to hasten an inevitable end, who will chastise those who seek to hasten it for others in Death’s stead, who will slowly and patiently plot and sow and siphon away from the great monsters of the world. Because who are they to hasten Death’s domain, who are they to deny Death its time and its place, who are they to cut short these vital glories that illuminate it so? Who are they to presume upon its will, that is so much larger and so much longer than theirs?
Who are they to call, and presume that Death, of all beings, should obey?
A Death that is not a hunter but a gatherer, who is always and eternal, who loves you, and can afford to wait. A Death who will fight for you and defend you, who will place its hand upon those who would speed you to its embrace, who has no need to rush you, only to greet you when you call.
A Death who is kind.
And patient.
And, before all and above all,
inevitable.
Beautiful
There is a reason they wield a scythe, not a sword. They harvest what is ripe, not take what is still strong.
I think I have reblogged this before, but that last comment makes it worth reblogging again.

A common and wellworn trope is a character that is cowardly and doesn’t want adventure, but is dragged into it anyway.
Mix it up by playing as a cowardly character that doesn’t get dragged into adventure.

Some new magic items, less armors, more weapons and stuff. Some uncommon items too, my last were pretty strong. I’d advise you to add some spell scrolls with the case when it is found: roll 1D4+2 to obtain the total of spell levels of all scrolls combined. Cantrips count as a level 1. https://www.instagram.com/luca_mosqa/
D20 main cast by what they respect in the game
Respect the game:
Zac: A lawful player of the game. Enjoys Brennan's rails, and wants to stay on task. 'Uh, I think everyone maybe lost their minds... I snap a chicken's neck and teleport us'
Siobhan: She's here to have a good time playing d&d baby! Loves mage hand and made out with the moon. The chaos to Zac's law in-game, but her shenanigans are plot driven and obey game mechanics
Respect the world:
Murph: Brennan who? Respects the in-game universe and the in-game universe ONLY. Would HAPPILY kill the bbeg in session 1 and go home, if that would most efficiently save the fantasy world. To avoid conflict with character motives, all are PCs are built with this outlook. Only exception, no layers of fantasy world building are thick enough to stop him loving Emily at all times (quite right)
Respect the character:
Lou: This man inhabits his character, possesses them, becomes them. Would kill his father/put pete down/give up his fighter class/deliberately die in the cathedral in an INSTANT if it was in character. Smoked at 3am because he couldn't work out how to love his daughter. A lawful portrait artist in a d&d game.
Emily: She loves her characters and they get what they want! Sophia WANTS a cat warlock patron? Sophia GETS a cat warlock patron! Fig doesn't want to go to school? Don't worry baby, you ain't going. This is less about what your character *would* do and more what they *want* to do. This leads to Gilear the lunch lad and hilda hilda, and also pursuing a father for Saccharina and publically swearing not to marry in the grand tourney. Sent from hell to kill Brennan, chaos ensues.
Respect? Never heard of it
Ally: Listen, Kristen changed her allegiance to the Goddex of doubt, but Ally still worships 'YES!', baby. They respect every impulse that comes through their mind, and pull off some Galaxy Brain moves
Star Trek DS9 S04E10: Homefront
okay but like i want kristen and riz to go get late night cortados together after spring break
riz is up working and is about to brew himself the third pot of coffee for the night when kristen’s like “do you wanna just take a field trip and get some actually good coffee though”
“i’m not gonna tell you to stop drinking coffee and go to sleep, riz, who do you think i am, jawbone? i’m just offering you some espresso. live a little.”
and there isn’t really a big case he’s working on, not after the nightmare king, so riz grumbles a little but he says yes
it’s like 1am and kristen takes him to a janky musty 24-hour basement cafe near the elmville train station that tracker showed her. riz loves it instantly
it’s natural that riz loves the night, he’s a goblin and a rogue, but kristen’s coming into her own as a twilight domain cleric wielding the staff of doubt
just two very dangerous people who will literally see everything on the street before it sees them, walking down the street on an unstoppable quest for caffeine
riz drinks his tiny cup of cortado and is like “weird, it’s not acidic at all, is this even coffee” and kristen dumps half a can of condensed milk and cream into hers
they end up talking, because there’s something about good coffee and a friend in a basement cafe at 1am that makes you want to say things you wouldn’t say in daylight
(this got long; more feelings and shenanigans under the cut)
