Coloured version of girls hair
After finally settling on a much more defined colour pallete and compositions, we started diving into the deep end of colouring. We’ve decided the colour key shots first that highlight the range of colours which are then repeated in throughout. Therefore these first shot we colour is where we decided the final tones and afterwards will use them as reference for the following shots.
After discussing the previous shots, we figured that the composition wasn’t working and so we’ve decided the change them and make them mor effective
Before we start getting deep into the colouring stage of production we did some more colour samples. The top image being a colour reference our tutor deb suggested as it was clear and more defined than our current palette. We’ve also taken away detail from the background as it was too distracting and took away from the girls who are the main focus.
Shots of the cut scene we’ve added to highlight the beauty of the girls. The slow motion action of the middle girl as well as the sparkles draw out attention to this beauty that the main character feels she will never be able to attain.
