Coincidentally, some vaccines need to be kept at similar cryogenic temperatures. They’re usually not too common, so little effort was invested into deep-freeze shipment technology. Delivery was on a case-by-case basis to freezers at major hospitals.

When most of the proposed covid-19 vaccines demanded constant deep freeze through the entire shipping process, there wasn’t a single medical organization that could even attempt to handle the sheer number of shipments.

In desperation, these highly advanced world-class medical experts looked for partners on the commercial market, anyone who could transport bulk quantities at extremely low temperatures. In the hour of darkness, a novelty ice cream company answered the call of duty.
