Ooof...

After several weeks of clinical interviews and psychological tests, I finally got my diagnosis corrected. For years, I was diagnosed as schizoid with OCD, but recently both my therapist and my current doctor started to question it. I've never done those tests before, so they decided it's finally THE TIME (I'm in my 30s). So now, according to this diagnosis, I'm not schizoid with OCD, but schizotypal with OCD.

Some sketches I've made. Finally, I'm spending more time on my little comic project, but I have less time for fan art now.

Thought 1: Fabien and Phyre would make a fantastic buddy cop comedy with Fabien constantly cracking jokes and Phyre being this comically serious type.

Thought 2: God, I'd love to see the original Tzimisce Safia; I love the current Science Gal, but the very concept of the original sounds freaking brilliant - a vampire as old as Phyre, constantly hunting them, obsessing over possessing them. Safia we see at the end seems completely different from the one who orchestrated this elaborate plan to rescue/avenge her love. The cut dialogue where she roasts Phyre, talking about their previous encounters, only adds to this... disparity. You can clearly see that the end boss is the leftover from the original ancient Safia, without the whole Gideon plot.

Some time ago, I made several cool little screenshots from the boss battle with Safia (keeping her still was a pain in the ass, thank God for Nexus and its mods). I tried to redraw my favourite faces she made. Folks, she's hilarious. EDIT: Wow, I completely forgot it was her birthday yesterday...! Oh well, let's say this little drawing is her present. 🎁

Today I finally completed The Flower and the Flame!

What can I say... This DLC did for me what the previous one failed to do - it made me LIKE the main character. While it was quite fun to crush skulls as Benny, I never could bring myself to root for him. Quite the opposite with Ysabella. During the main game, I was rather indifferent towards her; she only irritated me sometimes while she babbled through her set of TVs. But now? I think she's great. While she's still not in my top three (that goes to Phyre, Mrs. Thorn, and Safia), I see her as an incredibly fun character.

So, while I'm not replaying Loose Cannon, I think I'll come back to The Flower and the Flame sometime in the future. It definitely deserves it.

I made two versions - one is consistent with my style (using mostly pen and ink, using digital tools just to add deeper shadows and small spots of colour), and the other is something more experimental. At first, I tried to use a pen to darken her skin, but the effect was not that good; so I decided to leave it as it is, and made a second file with digitally added skin tone. Tell me what you think of it.
