♕:: What are 5 writing tips you’d give to beginners?
o1. practice!!! this is literally the most important thing to do, even the best writers have to practice.
o2. ask for criticism. i know it can be hard to ask someone to criticize your work, but if no one points out the things you need to work on, it can be really hard to improve yourself.
o3. don't rush yourself. if you're writing something, you should take your time. rushing yourself will only cause more problems later on and may even mess up your writing. now of course, if you're a naturally fast worker, that's fine, but you can't RUSH yourself.
o4. work outside your comfort zone. now i don't mean write things that are triggering to you, i mean write things that you wouldn't normally write ( as long as its legal :0 ). for example: i write a lot of sadder, heavier things. if i wanted to work outside of my comfort zone, i would write a romantic situation since that's what i'm unfamiliar with.
don't be afraid to write genres you aren't familiar with, it'll only help you improve.
o5. don't get discouraged if you need to start over. sometimes you'll write something you're not satisfied with, and its always okay to rewrite it, or scrap the idea entirely and do something different.
✕:: What would set you entirely off roleplaying with someone?
there really aren't many things that set me off from roleplaying with people, but some of them are the mun being a generally rude person, or if I can't seem to understand their replies at all.
☆:: How did you go about getting a grip on your muse’s character?
to be completely honest, after I beat Justice for All, i just opened this blog and said "why the hell not". I figured if I didn't feel like I had a decent understanding of her character, then I'd know it and know that roleplaying Franziska was not for me.
