LET ME TELL YOU A THING ABOUT SHIRLEY TEMPLE
Not only did this ABSURDLY ADORABLE little superstar pretty much singlehandedly save Fox and the movie industry during the Great Depression, she also
was one of the first (possibly the first) white actress to hold hands with a black man on screen as half of the first interracial dance couple on screen.
was largely responsible for making breast cancer okay to talk about after she had a press conference about her own mastectomy
became president of the Multiple Sclerosis Society and co-founded the International Federation of Multiple Sclerosis Societies, because her brother had MS
was the first female Chief of Protocol in US Government history
served as a US ambassador during the fall of Communism and was pretty much an all around international BADASS
And according to her husband, she was always true to herself. “Over 38 years I have participated in her life 24 hours a day through thick and thin, traumatic situations, exultant situations, and I feel she has only one personality. She would be catastrophic for the psychiatric profession. You can wake her up in the middle of the night and she has the same personality everybody knows. What everybody has seen for 60 years is the bedrock.” (x)
Shirley Temple is hands down the most legendary child star of all time and she grew up to be a total BAMF. Rest in peace, Curly Top.

Christmas
7 it is the first snow and our characters are together
"Victor come on there is so much that can be done now!" Sherlock hopped up and down excitedly, grinning at the thought of new experimentsjust waiting outside "we have to go now!"
Victor laughed, pulling on his coat and mittens, searching for his hat. “Okay, okay! Get your things on. What first? Snow angles? Snowman?”
The child rushed and put on his oversized coat and scarf and ran back in “snowflake measurement!”
"Snowflake measurement it is!" Victor laughed, rushing after him into the cold air, grinning like a child.

-flops down and yawn- expelled
"Expelled?!" Victor looks at him wide-eyed, sitting down on the table so he can watch Sherlock carefully. "What do you mean expelled?!"
Laughs “I don’t think so. Plus the worst he would do is yell at me, I never listen to his lectures anyway”
"He’d enroll you back in school. For the sake of your future. You can’t do anything without having been through school, no matter how brilliant you are."
Groans rolling off the sofa and onto the floor “I don’t care!”
"You might care a whole lot when you're older and bored out of your mind because you can't work."

"Hmmm nope, boring, predictable, obvious." He sighed "well I have specimens that need analyzing"
"Sherlock… how are you going to tell your brother?" Victor asked, concerned for him. "Are you going to be alight?"
"Simple answer to a simple question. I’m not telling him"
"I think he's going to find out eventually, Sherlock. You need to be in school."

"I was bored and he was in my way, what was I supposed to do?!" He frowned not seeing why this was such a big deal "besides, in barely hit bone."
"Call him an idiot in some very interesting and colorful tones? Plan pranks to make his life interesting? Take the moral high road because you're better than them, and you're not the bully, and you deserve to be seen as the better man?"

He groaned and got up “The explanation is too boring for me to say, luckily for you they sent me with a note” handing him the wrinkled and pocket crammed paper he strode back to the sofa and resumed his thinking pose. The note explainee that Sherlock stabbed another student in the shoulder with a pencil for knocking over one of his viles in chemistry class.
Victor rubbed his face and groaned, shaking his head carefully. "Sherlock... there are easier ways to deal with people in your classes who get on your nerves. You can't stab everyone. There aren't enough pencils."
"Yes and no, I’m not really a cat, just in the shape of one." She said softly, sitting up and peeking over the couch to look at him and his surprise expression. "Are you alright, sir?"
"Ah… processing? Trying not to faint? processing?" He said down firmly, watching the cat. "This is sort of a lot."
"Nice meeting you, Victor." She said kindly. "Very few have met shape shifters, I have never met one, but myself. I’m very sorry to have startled you this way, sir… Is there anything I can do to help?"
"Nope. No. Need to just adjust. Yeah, you know? Need to settle and figure it out. Very… very slowly. But I’ll get there. I promise. I will."
"I ah.. I can leave if you want?"
"No, no please stay. I've invited you in, and I did mean it. I'm just shocked."

"Pleasure." She said softly, looking at him with concern, worried he’d faint. "It’s an easy shape to survive in. I can talk because I allowed the vocal cords to function as a humans. I’m a shape shifter, I’ve always been alone." Margo told him gently, staying calm and submissive around him, so he’d hopefully stay calm.
"Okay. Um... I'm Victor." he nodded. "Okay... I suppose that makes sense. Yes. Okay. Sorry, I've never met a shapeshifter. It's... strange to me. Granted, I've done other things, been involved in strange situations... but not this. Ah... not ready."

"Sorry… Waiting would probably not have helped you much in either case, but, sorry. Umm.. You could ask some questions, if that would help?" The cat suggested softly, moving from the couch to sit down in front of him. "I’m Margo."
"Margo. Okay. Yes." He was pale, nodding, but adjusting quickly. "Why are you a cat? Why can you talk? What... what's going on? Why are you alone?"

Sherlock rolled his eyes “I mean i got expelled obviously. Good riddens, school is a waste of time anyway.” He clasped his hands and rested his chin on them in his famous thinking pose
"School is pretty important when you’re older." Victor said in concern. "Why did you get expelled is really the better question, Sherlock. You’re a very bright boy, if unorthodox- I’d think they’d like to keep you around."
