A Smoldering Bouquet of Roses Photographed by Ars Thanea
Short and Simple
I wish, sometimes even upon the starts, that I could scream.
Scream until blood choked me to cessation.
This wish reminds me what it means...
game of thrones houses + van gogh
“Look at us, Handless and Noseless, the Lannister boys!”
Conversation quickly goes downhill from that point
I remember the rain
There are times at night when I lie in bed listening to the droplets of rain fall against the ground, windows, roof... I listen to the melancholy battering of dreams smashing apart as they fall to earth. I listen as I think of you and all the times we had laid awake, listening to the sound of the rain as we held each other close. Now the rain just holds the faded dreams of happiness and your hand intertwined with mine.
Moonlit Ruminations
You bring the tears, and I'll bring the confession. A truth worth hearing, And a lie worth telling.
Missed Opportunities
Stand there, complacent in the silence, and I'll kiss you for the mourning sun. Your soft, wicked lips, curved in that slight, knowing smile will always lie, and I'll always love every word you breathe to life.
Fire and Ice by Robert Frost
Cry me to sleep
I see you, I see you here, I see you there, I see you everywhere. Fragile as ever, Behind heavy eyes, There you reside, A cracked teacup, Faded baby blue.
It’s a very Greek idea, and a very profound one. Beauty is terror. Whatever we call beautiful, we quiver before it. And what could be more terrifying and beautiful, to souls like the Greeks or our own, than to lose control completely? To throw off the chains of being for an instant, to shatter the accident of our mortal selves?
You're a Coward
It's been a while, Now, Since you walked out that door, Craven as ever, Deluding yourself, Into believing that you were, Strong. The wine tasted bitter, The beer sour, The spirits were lacking, As were my own, For I had planned on sharing, It all with you.
Tina Guo: The Rains of Castamere
An arrangement of the haunting “Rains of Castamere” played on Cello and the traditional Chinese Erhu.
Begone from here, dark heart. Begone!
Whisper in my ear
Perhaps you mistake me, alas you would not be the first. You see me for a gentle hearted fool, one capable of incredible feats if the cause is right. You are blinded, my dear, by your own self-serving bias. You're afraid, terrified. You know what it truly is you see, what you're too cowardly to touch. You found yourself a monster, a beast wallowing in the satisfaction of destruction. You do not permit yourself to acknowledge the creature before you, one you only have to whisper your most fervent desire to. Tell me your wish and let it be so. Red lips pull back slowly, stretching over pointed canines, into the facade of a smile; humorless in its pleasure. Ask and you shall receive. Yet you do not ask, because you are afraid... So you toss this monster aside. Three wishes yet remain.
Availed at dusk
Here lie old friends, And new ones, Those once loved, And those now beloved, Their voices call out softly, In the purity of the night, Whispers cloaked in shadows, Caressing a lonely cheek, Brushing tears from dark eyes, Unseen they serenade softly, Their reciprocated fears.
Not quite a Poem
To be frank and quaint, A brief moment in time, There was, Wherein you had me. Had me, body and soul. Your pawn, knight, rook, bishop... To command or commend, Berate and bewitch. Those lips, so bittersweet, You placed against mine. Then you made the sacrifice play, Our lips parted before my eyes opened. A smile on my lips, For I was yours, body and soul, To cherish and love, Or crush and toss aside.
