and IM NOT DONE. Lexi's storytelling, Lexi's love for Rue, her family, and Fez. Lexi's hopes and aspirations, Lexi's loneliness and anxiety, her life surrounded by drugs and choosing to escape from it while bravely facing those fears for those who depend on her...have all become obsolete. What was so relatable as a loner, as someone who existed outside the sphere of popularity, sex, and drugs, as someone who lived in her own world, weaved it through words in dreams, and was ostracized and exploited fr her creativity, intellect, and kindness has vanished from the entire show. Rue wasn't able to storytell or narrate creatively like she did in previous seasons either. The pillars of thematic storytelling and were completely removed and rendered meaningless. Are lonely, free thinking, ambitious women obsolete in today's society, and just left to be taken advantage of not only in the industry but in the show's reality as well? I don't want us to be reduced background characters whose stories aren't valued for the rest of our lives. Her love and arc with Fez, the only person in her life who supported her fully and loved her insecurities, was never even resolved! There was no phone call! She never even got her story resolved with her job. It was just abruptly stopped. Lexi's arc about stepping out from the background was been reduced to her struggling in the background.
