Aquamarine, Topaz, and Peridot sat at a table that looked like it belong to a Agite. Aquamarine’s were always valued by the Diamonds. Peridot threw a small device onto the table and it sprouted a holographic map of a nearby Planet. Peridot’s have been mocked by Aquamarines before. It has almost become tradition by now.
“Here it is Aqua… Happy Now?”
“Very,” the smug little gem looked to the map, hands pressed firmly on the table to keep herself still while her wings kept her above the table’s rim. “For once, you actually got the right planet! I was half-expecting you to gather up information on moon.”
Aquamarine giggled, flying upwards to examine the holograph more closely.
“I am not an incompetent Peridot!”
She looked at Topaz who returned a dead stare. “Aquamarine, if we are going to be partners, I’d like to break the norm of Peridot’s and Aquamarine’s relationships. I’d like to be…respected.” She had brought up her Finger screen and decided to start taking notes about a side “experiment”.
Aquamarine paused and slowed to a gentle hover, flying around and below and above to see all that Peridot had collected.
“We can talk about this later. Right now, brief me on what you’ve gathered.” She was excited to see all the information the gem had collected and each note she had prepared. If Peridots were anything, they were thorough.
“Inhabitation Planet P-45 or Earth was Pink Diamond’s responsibility. It is inhabited by a species called Humans. I have yet to discover more information about the humans but they are classified in Gem records as Non-hostile.” Peridot had brought up Earth Maps and a diagram of a human and such other things.
(SORRY I FORGOT. @askouraquamarine)
Aquamarine observed the creatures, their workings, the information Peridot had gathered all with the slightest of smirks. Her fingers expanded open the diagram of the human, closely observing each little organ and bone they had.
“Hm… Rather sloppy work on these creatures, so many useless tricks and gadgets clogging it all up. But I can’t blame you for that.” The gem slide her gloved hand over the screens and each deactivated upon her touch. Slowly, she lowered herself to the table, her shoes softly clicking upon landing.
“Excellent work, 5XG. I can’t say I’m not impressed.”
“I had to interact with one of their species in a place with their primitive technology. They have weird shapes and color. I had to use a translation light to read whatever they call this. I tried giving the Humans Earth currency for it but they didnt accept it.” She slid a book across the table to Aqua. The cover showed a drawing of a 6 armed man, although no other Human had 6 arms.
Aquamarine caught the book under her hand once it reached her, raising an eyebrow as she looked it over.
“… Is this common in the species? Some kind of differing type of human? Looks rather… Strange and possibly violent. No wonder the Diamonds took an interest in such a place.”
“Not at all, it says Human Biology on it but that’s not a human. I’m just as confused. Most humans are non-violent. For the Minority that does use their weapons upon us, we’ve been sent this Topaz.”
She glossed a look at the Topaz, but it didnt look back. It was looking in the middle of the table, dead silent.
“That’ll help, I’m sure.” A ping of sarcasm in her voice rang through. She didn’t like these… Humans. She didn’t like their indecisiveness on their form or their possible lying.
She clicked her tongue, the book’s flimsy cover lightly crumbling under her hand. “How miserable of a place to survey.”
“They’re like insects, alway’s bugging me and my research.” Peridot’s fingers beamed up to her forehead massage her forehead. “Worst mission i’ve done by far.” She laid back in her chair and tried not to go off on a ramble.
@askouraquamarine
“There will always be worse, Peridot. Don’t sell the universe short like that.” Considering they still had to go down and find the perfect place to set up base, there would always be worse.
“Let’s hope for the best here...” Peridot had kept her head rolled back ontop her chair. She thought about how she was going to request such a long vacation from her superior. Maybe she’ll request a private planet so her and some other Peridot’s can Relax. Peridot stopped herself right then and there, the mission needed to be perfection for that.
🗡
Peridot had found herself in the most peculiar situations. Somedays she was fighting with a superior. Somedays she found herself being interviewed by the diamond. Other days, she found herself in the middle of a standstill.
Peridot’s task for the day was to find any old gemshards from the war. She started this search in the Strawberry shields. These gemshards would be used to mainfest a unamed Geo-Weapon thought of by the greatest military leader to boot, Yellow Diamond.
She had multiple little bubbles following her around with shards of Dead Gems in them. Gems had no respect for the long deceased unlike Humans. During the war, the Diamonds would put up posters with phrases like “A good gem is an alive one.”
Peridot was fascinated by this stuff. In her spare time she read documents from the war, she interviewed people from the war, she even had Rebel War Propaganda and Paraphernalia. She had an addiction to it. So imagine her surprise when she was told by her superiors to do this goal. She was estatic about this mission.
She walked around amiring each and every weapon slung into the groud wether it be a custom made weapon by a certain Bismuth or a mace made for a Amethyst, she enjoyed all the sights. She wanted all of it.
After about 53 minutes of looking through dead gem sharda, something cuaght her eye… A reformed gem?! No, it couldnt be, all of the gems here were shattered! Maybe it was a Crystal Gem? No, it’s not that either. There’s no star on her uniform. At least not what from she can see.
Peridot kept her head down in the bushes as the gem passed her. She needed to formulate a plan of attack and a escape route if need be. She had an idea…
As the Gem walked by her Peridot sprung out and pointer her Laser canon at the back of this particular Gem’s head. This was the first fight Peridot had been in and she didnt want to make it her last. If she had to she’d use unfair advantages becuase deep down she knew she wasn’t a good fighter.
“Stay right where you are…”
The large gem pause her stride, and turned to face the Peridot. She did not look very intimidating, despite her height. Her appearance was soft and warm. “What do you require, little Peridot?” She did not seem fazed by the weapon pointed at her face. “There is no need for the weapon.” Moonstone clasped her hands together.
“I am not a little Peridot!” She kept her weapon near and on but it was not pointed at her. “What are you doing here. What Gem Court do you work for!” Peridot stared Moonstone down trying to be as menacing as she needs to be.

"Lazuli?" Peridot had just got back from the local video store. The one in Beach City stayed open because people liked the idea of older technology, She heard it was being remodeled to a vinyl record store, so she stole Steven's donut savings for this.It was her last chance to get these collectables. Peridot had started walking up the steps to the House, she enjoyed watching Camp Pining Hearts in the house during a rainstorm. She hadn't seen Lapis in a few days so she wanted to spend some time with Steven. Lapis does this sometimes, but she always came back happier, there was something off about this time. "Glad to see you Lapis! Where did ya go?" Peridot had a bit of precaution her voice as she approached her.
