I’m Minty or Camelia, she/her. I’m 22, living in the northeastern part of the US. I’m Chinese-American and recently graduated college. I love drawing pathetic and morally questionable men and badass women. I’ll be posting my art of my ocs, a lot of them themed around elements on the periodic table and also occasionally fanart. My main fandom is JJBA, but I also love BL, anime and manga so I’ll post about whatever catches my fancy. I also write original work and fanfic in my free time!

I haven't been using ao3 much in recent years cause it feels like most of the stuff i find is either hurt/comfort fluff or smut without plot. I like both of these things and I love that there are many fics for them but I want my toxic ships to be TOXIC through and through! PUT YOUR COCK AWAY AND INSULT EACH OTHERS WORST FLAWS

But there’s multiple ships where I’ve read fics and disappointed how fast the “enemies to friends to lovers” enemies phase ends, like if you don’t really settle in the hatred and animosity, the payoff for later is so much lessened, a lot of fics begin where they are in canon and get better, but I need them to get worse, spitting blood and fists flying before shit even begins to somewhat stabilize

It’s fun to materialize animosity as sex, but keeping it bottled up, raw, angry, seething, unfulfilled and undiluted, utter chef’s kiss

(Maybe I’m just crazy wanting to sit on the sidelines and giggling and kicking my feet at two bitches going at it, all hate no sex, knowing they’ll eat their words later)

I like CHNOP (DNA squad in my world) as a kinda found family unit for me, I’m a massive sucker for that trope, Si, In, Sn, B and Tc (Silex gang) are also like a foil type of unit too

As someone who has a whole “designing elements as humanoid” storyline thing and seeing you’re making silicon and oxygen kiss essentially is super cool because I also think they are kissing. That high affinity is NOT just chemical

YOU GET IT! A lot of ppl ship carbon and oxygen, but the affinity between si and o is higher, like they literally form the structure of the earth’s crust, literal backbone of the earth itself, that relationship has gotta be crazy rock solid 😤

Id obsess over watching vids about durable quartz is and reactions and info (lore) between them, like one major reason silicon based life forms are not possible is the affinity is too high, like the bond between carbon and oxygen is flexible so like metabolic processes can happen, but not enough between silicon and oxygen

I’m def gonna keep posting more of them, unfortunately (or fortunately) silicon is my top horrible hyperfixated guy blorbo and oxygen one of my top faves, and together their dynamic is so fun! Silly sexy hot guy is absolute mess for the repressed incel nerd who is also pathetic as hell is peak

remembering the time I called american psycho (a satirical film about toxic masculinity) a dark comedy and the overwhelming response was 'oh so u think men killing sex workers is funny? u think THAT'S funny?' like no I find a patrick batemen listening to 'i'm walking on sunshine', killing jared leto while wearing a clear raincoat and giving a dissertation on huey lewis n the news, using 'I need to return some video tapes' to get out of awkward situations, throwing a hissy fit about business cards, dropping a chainsaw down a flight of stairs, thinking an atm is telling him to feed it cats, and crying hysterically under a desk is funny. but thank u for ur wonderful insight

It’s a lot of fun to experiment with him and his gender bc he feels he should strongly adhere to masculine standards to compensate for his androgynous features, until he comes to terms with his sexuality and experiments with gender. He’d probably settle on masculinity but a more healthy version of it. And that doesn’t mean he doesn’t do a bit crossdressing, especially for oxygen

The two best reasons to ship anything are:

1.Incredible deep and detailed narrative themes. The parallels that seem to hit just right, the narrative foils that they can be to each other, the intricate dynamic that's both extremely complex and easily understood. The juxtaposition between something that's harsh and undoubtedly toxic, with the softer undertones, the parts where you read in-between the lines and find a mutual feeling of loneliness from both parts, their intrinsic understanding of each other comes from the mere fact that they're each others mirrored reflections and shadows. In the end both sides will be together forever, and you as an audience can clearly see their tragedy laid out before in a path that blurs pure anguish and tender romance

2.It would be so fucking funny
