Okay hi I know I haven’t been here long but I just kinda want to state my opinion on the whole Lucas matter.
Sadly I think the allegations are true. As a Chinese and also someone who is effectively bilingual, the text messages seems to be real.
The typos, the wording, everything just seems like how Lucas is known to talk. A lot of people point out the typos in the text messages allegedly sent by Lucas and use them to say it is fake. But those typos could be easily made by a Chinese Stroke Keyboard which many cantonese people use. I recall Hendery mentioning that Lucas is really good at writing so it makes sense that he uses the Chinese Stroke Keyboard instead of a Pinyin Keyboard or Shape Based Keyboard.
The apology he posted really seems to be him admitting his fault. In the first few sentences, he apologises for his wrongdoings. Isn’t that him admitting that he actually did do what the allegations stated? Yes he did apologise for worrying the fans and letting them down. But before he even did that, he apologised for his wrongdoings just a sentence prior.
It was already super sus that Lucas’ biggest fanbase in China closed down so fast because China fanbases are usually the most loyal. They definitely know something that we don’t.
However, this really seems to be more than just him being a fckboy. This whole situation has escalated into mistreatment allegations. Mistreatment towards Winwinbar and Tenbar. Mistreatment towards Winwin. Heck, mistreatment towards all the members. This is not just a simple case anymore.
Am I on the side of forcing him out or the side that wants him to stay? Neither. I have always been a neutral party in terms of kpop. I’m just here for the music and vibes. If he did do it, I hope he reflects on his mistakes and become a better person. If he didn’t do it, SM needs to do some serious damage control.
I would just like everyone to read only from legit sources. Do not believe and spread any misinformation. Do not make this situation worse than it already is.
