âI prayed for a friend and i was sent a brotherâ
Tyson, please, I'm already sensitive đ„ș
the series pronouncing thalia's name like we all thought it was pronounced as kids is obviously perfect but what do you MEAN i've been mispronouncing luke's name this entire time?????
One thing people donât clock, is that Sally and Percy are such a rare and great example of a healthy âmamaâs boyâ stereotype. Like, yes, heâd choose his mom over everyone, but he also knows when he canât or doesnât need to. He knows when he needs to pick another option or trust that his mom will, in fact, be okay without him. And same goes for Sally. Firstly, sheâs raising her kid to be a good person. Period. She doesnât have any expectations from him, she just wants him to be happy and understand the importance of being kind. Secondly, she knows that there are certain parts of Percyâs life that she just canât be a part of, no matter how much she wants. And she knows to step aside and trust that Percy can handle himself in moments where sheâs not there.
The showâs really doing a great job at showing their relationship and I hope they find a way to have her show up in S3 and S4 as well. We need her as much as our demigods do.
Thalia looking at Percy like âwho tf is this fucking white boy??? Annabeth get behind me!â is actually taking me out so bad. Just got untreed and already has beef with the son-in-law đ
how exactly do i move on from this finale and that teaser iâm asking for a friend
Clarisse soloing : WALK WALK MURDER BABY
Percy soloing : 3 apples tall
when tiny meets tiny
my little underworld children im gonne die im gonna die im gonebdie
they really needs to keep the level of humor high in s3 because these kids were really running on sarcasm, anxiety and caffeine in titanâs curse
percy choosing to make a sacrifice to sally and not poseidon in hopes that sheâll hear him in season 1 and tyson saying they should call someone wiser and stronger to help get a ride and calling sally in season 2 oh sally jackson you are so incredibly loved by your sons
#Grover has PTSD from Percy's last driving attempt
Percy and Annabeth in Percy Jackson & the Olympians S2E5 đ±
percy jackson and the olympians is a show that tries to break the unreliable narration of the books it was adapted from. they take characters generally viewed as monsters and reveal their other, more human side, giving them actual depth rather than just having them be blank slates for rick to write villain on. the show transformed circe; she isn't just a misandrist anymore, she's someone who craves a community as its what she's always been deprived of, since her original myth. she acknowledges who she is, and recognizes that she has a fatal flaw, making her seem as if she is on the same level of mortality as the demigods in the eyes of the audience, and percy too. but percy being able to see past her bits of humanity and through her carefully-crafted illusion shattered the experience that circe had not only built for the guests, but for herself too. it shows that villainous characters can be dynamic, while contributing to the plot in the same way they had originally.
RIP to the bubble scene in SOM
However âIâd burn it all downâ and ââwhat did you see when you heard their song?â âJust you.ââ kinda made up for it
Also like yes itâs Percabeth and I cannot wait for them to be in love but right now itâs so perfect because the vibes are more âyou are my best friend in the whole world and you get me better than anyone else and I really just canât lose youâ.
Percy is still oblivious and letâs be real no one would say things like that to their crush. That being said, Annabeth stood no chance because I too would instantly fall in love if someone said those things to me
he didnât just say heâd let it burn
he said he would burn it all down
hello Heroes of Olympus Percy this is why Hera took you instead of Annabeth
Okay but as an ambulatory wheelchair user I loved how Rian Johnson portrayed Simone. He didn't have her be miraculously healed, but had her learn to live and deal with her chronic pain.
Abled people really don't understand how big that is. Like just having an ambulatory wheelchair user is big!!! (I cackled at the scene where she gets out of her chair and someone says it's a miracle and she just goes "I can walk, it just hurts.") But also having her angry that she's in constant pain and trying anything to feel better is so realistic. A lot of disabled people, especially newly disabled people, fall into the idea that they need to be "cured" and that they need to get back to "normal".
Having her accept her disability and making her learn how to still do the thing she loves while still having chronic pain is amazing! Like, the idea that you can continue living after becoming disabled is so rarely shown! Like believe it or not, disabled people can lead fulfilling and happy lives doing things we love!
