Absolutely LOVE evajacks. Especially in the first two. Because they were basically always together. It wasn't just Evangeline's story and quest and Jacks would show up from time to time to make a flirty comment and help her for a couple chapters, before disappearing. They had time to really get to know each other and Evangeline learned more about Jacks and his past than basically anyone he's ever known or loved (I assume).

That being said, I was definitely disappointed that, while we got a bigger cast of characters than in, say Caraval, we didn't get very much backstory or insights into their characters. We know Castor/Chaos was a Valor, we know he was the monster, we know about Vengeance and the Merrywood 3 and all that good stuff, but we didn't get much of his personality like, at all. And honestly, if we had, he probably would have been one of my favorite characters. He seems so interesting and I hope we get a book following him and LaLa or even just him. As long as it's not a prequel... I need new stuff and a potential for evajacks cameos.

Side note: I love how we as a fandom keep getting excited for novellas and spinoffs and asking for new books, but one of the main reasons is for evajacks cameos. It's just so silly to me.

But anyway, I want more history. I also feel like I wouldn't dislike Luc as much if we got more than just... idk. What we got. Cause when you think about it, he really is a funny character. A vampire who literally can't convince anyone to let him bite them and who cares enough to ask. He's entirely incompetent.

Basically I just want more. Not just evajacks, but more everything. This was just a long way of saying that. I've got a lot of thoughts and I need to get them out on paper.
