Part 2/?
I’ve had an angel on my shoulder all my life.
Happy Birthday, Barbara Hale! | April 18, 1922 – January 26, 2017 ∞
An Archive of Our Own, a project of the Organization for Transformative Works
Summary: Perry Mason receives a call from a long lost confidant about taking up a new case. The charge? Murder, and his confidant turned client is adamant that it’s false. Paul Drake discovers there’s more than just an old acquaintance that Perry has neglected to mention. Amongst the race to clear their client and the reappearance of old flames, can Perry and Paul reconcile when what they’ve been hiding from each other finally comes to light?
A Perry Mason fic by yours truly
Perry: You believe he killed Leonard? Hamilton: Perry, Jefferson Pike saved my life once. We were out on Marshes Lake, up in Canada. Our rubber boat got flipped over in the wind, and one of the oars caught my ankle. Pike could have left me in the duck blind and gone for help. But it was way below freezing. So instead he carried me three miles... all the way to shore. And in the course of wading through that icy water, he lost two toes. That was 12 years ago. I got him his job here at the club. Perry: Now you may try him for murder. Hamilton: No, I... I'll have to disqualify myself. Remove myself from any prosecution. But it would still be my responsibility. And I suppose I have no right to be talking to you this way. Let alone suggesting that-- Perry, if Jefferson Pike is arraigned for this crime... and...if you can find any merit in the case... Perry: I'll defend him, Hamilton. Even if he did save your life.

Hi! I love that someone found that running in heels in the dirt answer for you. Now, I hope someone can help with another episode, asked of me by @raphianna. It's late at night, Della is sitting beside Perry's desk taking dictation. She says she'll type it up and he tells her, no it's late, go home. She walks out but comes back, telling Perry someone is here to see him. Before they left however, this postman/mailman(???) walked in, saying he had a telegram for Perry, and he was absolutely awed by him. I think one of his lines was, 'Perry Mason... wow!' before he left. I THINK it was on METV maybe the first week of January - seems like I saw it, but as usual, I don't remember if it was the morning - late season 5 or early 6 - or evening - late season 2. Anybody remember what episode?
Hi there! I don't know the episode off hand, but hopefully someone knows/can find it!
@perrydellapaul don't worry! I found it! It's in the near beginning of one of my favourite episodes, The Case of the Half-Wakened Wife, S1, E26!!!
awesome thank you!

I’m not the anon but I think I just watched the episode, it’s season 1 episode 35, “The Case of the Lazy Lover” at about the 41:10 mark.
Swell! Thank you so much, it's greatly appreciated!
I think I found the episode where Della has to run in heels: Season 1, The Case Of The Lazy Lover. I could be wrong, but I think this is it. Have a good day!
Ah thank you so much! That is definitely the episode!
I was wondering if you could do gifs when Perry has Della running across rough terrain in her heels just to test a theory? Paul's face in the background is the best! Thank you for taking time to read this! God bless and have a great day!
Oh I love that part! But I'll be hoenst I remember the scene but not the episode, so if you let me know what season/ep/title it is I'll definitely try!
