Kazimir Malevich never stopped believing in abstraction. Even after his work was condemned by the Soviet authorities he continued to paint bold geometric compositions that rejected narrative and tradition.
In āSuprematist Composition No. 56ā black red blue green and gold forms float across a pale background without settling into place. Every shape feels deliberate proving that for Malevich color and geometry could speak for themselves.

Marc Hempel āSpaceman: Daydreaming Can Be Dangerousā. I originally posted only the first page of this brilliant comic. Now here is the full illustrated story. Scanned from short lived sci-fi magazine Questar, February 1980.
Iām writing a science fiction art collection right now - gonna try to see if I can get this entire comic into it!
