1. How did you ring in the new year for 2025?
I believe I was asleep.
2. Who did you kiss at midnight/your first kiss in 2025?
I was probably asleep, but if I was awake? My wife.
3. What did you do in 2025 that you'd never done before?:
Won THREE singles championships at once, Got paid as a graphic designer, I was interviewed on NPR, defended a championship in another country.
4. Did you keep your new year's resolutions, and will you make more for next year?
I don't make new year's resolutions.
5. Did anyone close to you give birth?:
Not that I am aware of.
6. Did anyone close to you die?:
Just celebrities.
7. What places did you visit?:
Milwaukee, WI., Chicago, Nova Scotia, Canada, Philadelphia. All for wrestling.
8. What would you like to have in 2026 that you lacked in 2025?:
A Disney vacation.
9. What dates from 2025 will remain etched upon your memory, and why?:
9/20 - I got to wrestle Levi in a main event at Grind. Our first match in almost 9 years, and the first time we've wrestled since both touring Japan.
10. What was your biggest achievement of the year?:
Three championships, returned to Canada, appearing on NPR.
11. What was your biggest failure?:
I guess I didn’t make that much money? I don’t know.
12. Did you suffer illness or injury?:
Staph infections, colds, etc. Normal stuff.
13. What was the best thing you bought?:
New wrestling boots? I don't know. I spent more time making things than buying things this year.
14. Whose events required celebration?:
Rip & Delmi got married. That was cool.
15. Whose behavior made you appalled and depressed?:
America... again.
16. Where did most of your money go?:
What money?
17. What did you get really, really, really excited about?:
Seeing Weird Al. Seeing monster trucks.
18. What song will always remind you of 2024?:
The cover of "Bewildered" from Joker 2. (Because of Mega64)
Compared to this time last year, are you:
a) Happier or sadder?: Happier.
b) Thinner or fatter?: I'm not sure.
c) Richer or poorer?: Maybe slightly richer?
19. What do you wish you'd done more of?:
House projects and lifting weights.
20. What do you wish you'd done less of?:
Being sick. (I had a lot of colds.)
21. Did you fall in love in 2024?:
I fell in love in 2007.

Zero.

My wife.

Mega64
25. Do you hate anyone now that you didn't hate this time last year?:
I don't think so.

Vacationland by John Hodgman (This was overdue)

Vaporwave or maybe Bryan Abou Chacra's KLBF twitch show.

Income? I don't know.
29. What did you want and not get?:
A Disney trip.

Toxic Avenger
31. What did you do on your birthday, and how old were you?:
I turned 41. We didn't do anything on the day, I don't think. But we saw Weird Al a few days later.
32. What one thing would have made your year immeasurably more satisfying?:
Not getting sick all the time.
33. How would you describe your personal fashion concept in 2024?:
Gym shorts/sweatpants and t-shirts/tank tops… or jeans and flannel… but also shirtless a LOT.
34. What kept you sane?:
Having a cool fanbase.
35. Which celebrity/public figure did you fancy the most?:
The Mega64 crew made me smile a lot this year.
36. What political issue stirred you the most?:
Uhg. Pass.
37. Who do you miss?:
The Disney Parks.

Not sure I met anyone new.

In no particular order: Justus, Torres, Rip, Delmi, Levi, Anton, Production Paul.
40. What are you doing to ring in 2026?
I’ll be home, relaxing with my wife.
41. Who do you plan on kissing to ring in 2026?
My wife.
42. Tell us a valuable life lesson you learned in 2025:
Probably something about consistency, but I don't have anything terribly poignant to say about it.
