“--Well, uh... I’m glad I have it too, then.” But even then, a small smile’s coming back onto her lips and she can’t help but have it grow when talking about Shiloh. “...Yeah. He’s an actor, he’s modeled before... He loves to do art and photography though. You should see his apartment-- absolutely full of his works. Absolutely beautiful.”

“’Kay, cool.” He paused, a little awkwardly. “How’s the boyfrien’? –Or is that a different person. I ‘eard Alex talkin’. You are Eliza, yeah?”

A pause.  How did he hear about Shiloh...? “He’s, uh-- He’s good. Still working on his movie. He’s enjoying being able to travel again for a bit. But, yeah, I’m Eliza. What’d you hear from Alex...?”

“Y’welcome.” Jacob plucked a cookie and took a bite before shrugging, “What’s the deal with you, then?”

She takes a bite of her own cookie before looking at him for a moment. “--I’m fine, I swear.”

“I din’ say why don’t ya. I said d’ya.” Jacob offered the bag of sugar iced cookies to Eliza.

For a moment, she looked surprised at the bag in front of her, but she took one with a smile anyway. “Well... Thanks, then.”

“Uh--- yeah, I’m fine. But why wouldn’t I want a cookie?”

“I think he was teasing me on his way over, honestly. It was pretty funny. I could only type with my pinky, so that was annoying, but…yeah, I’m pretty sure my siblings are looking for a reason to beat him up at this point,” Ravi laughed a little. “Oh, man, you’re almost graduating? Good job, Eliza! I know you can do it - I wasn’t too good in school, and I’m technically a drop out, I guess, but if you need someone to help you study I’ll help anyway you need!”

“Well, we both know Harlem can hide at my place if he needs to.” He had already slept in one of her extra beds before, so there was no reason for Eliza to bar him from some kind of refuge from when the Ares kid finally find a reason. “I-- uh-- thanks. I’m surprised I got this far, honestly.” But with only a couple of weeks left, she wouldn’t let herself drop it. “...But thanks for the offer. I just needs to get this work done and then wait for the results from my essays and tests and we’ll see if I have to do another semester or not.”

“Yeah, Harlem finally came and cut the ribbon for me, but he was a big brat about it…Is it school?” Thinking about it, Ravi supposed that it was close to the end of winter semester. She hadn’t really thought about school much since she’d dropped out. “Aren’t you almost done?”

“Well, at least your out? I mean, the kid’s always going to get you out of there; even if he didn’t care, I’m pretty sure that your siblings would beat ‘im up.” But when she had asked about about one of her worries, Eliza quieted and her smile faded. “Well-- a bit. If I can pass these online classes, I’ll graduate before the New Year.” But even then... that wasn’t even some of her biggest things that she was stressing about. “--But it’s fine. You don’t need to worry ‘bout it or ‘bout me, I promise.”

“I’m really bad with tape. Really, really bad. And ribbon. Um…” she trailed off, looking back at Eliza, “Are you sure you’re okay?”

“So that would explain the thing that happened on Twitter earlier.” However, she had set the phone aside quickly without going to reply to her call for help. “--Me? I’m fine. Just trying to work through some things coming up.”

“You sure? I was just - you know, curious if you - um - okay, I’m really bad at wrapping presents. Apparently.”

“Yeah, I know how to wrap presents. Since it was just me and my dad, I had to teach myself how to do them. What do you need help wrapping?”

“Oh. No, don’t worry, Kyra isn’t here. She’s been taken to the city for new clothes with Jess. I don’t smoke near her. What’s up?”

“Oh, that-- that’s good. That sounds fun, actually. How’s Jess, by the way? But, uh-- well... I just coming to see if I could hang out here for a bit? I’ve been studying for my online classes so I can graduate this month and it’s hard to focus in my cabin right now...” It was just a little too empty for a study session.

“Yeah, um, I was gonna try to run into town? I guess we can just…see what we have and work from there. He didn’t have a collar, though.” She didn’t expect a dumped dog to, but she had looked, just in case. She really didn’t know what to do with a dog - Ravi was from a metropolitian city, and most people didn’t have more than a gold fish or small cat. “I just knew you had a dog and I was…kind of at a loss? Of what to do?” If she was being honest, Eliza was usually the one she ran to if she didn’t know what to do. The older girl just seemed to always know what to do.

“We’ll definitely need to run into town for a couple of things. Like, the lil guy’s going to need some different kind of food from what Lance has, and probably a new collar and stuff too-- And we’ll probably need to do a vet check-up sooner rather than later.” Eliza was trying to think back to the basics. When was Lance a puppy again? He probably stopped being one around February or March, by the way he was growing so fast. “That’s alright Ravi-- honestly, the only way I know how to take care of a dog now is because I watched Shiloh take care of his back at home.” That, and she had did a lot of online research the first couple of weeks with Lance... There was a lot of potty-training with him.

The girl didn’t look so sure, which made Hana worry but she didn’t ask again. If it was in her head then it was her problem. “Training. Right.” Hana nodded, scratching the back of her neck. “No, I don’t like a lot of noise, yelling or the people who create it. – I try to avoid it, actually.”

“It’s kind of common practice, so I’m used to just ignoring it at this point.” She’s been here for almost a year-- if she didn’t ignore the yelling, Eliza would be one of the more annoyed campers here, if she was honest. “That’s understandable though, I think. Yelling’s not exactly the greatest thing to hear.

“Sorry, I tend to think someone’s always following me in any fores., I have had a bad past with forests, but I need to get rid of it. A hike? That’s right, you always go hiking at least three times a month from what I’ve noticed. Not being creepy, I’m just observant,”

“That-- that is creepy, though. I mean, even I don’t know how many times a month I go hiking, and a couple of years ago I was even required to log it so I could get my rock-climbing teaching licence. Are you in the forest that often to see me every time...?”

Taking sight of Eliza’s features, Mari’s expression softened considerably as she sat up, “O-Oh. Um. Sorry, sorry, it’s not your fault. I was just playing. It was really fun–Thank you for waking me up.”

“That’s understandable, then... So what were you guys playing this time, then?” she asked as she at on the edge of the bed. Although it was upsetting to see Mari get so angry by being woken up, the lively dreams that she had was definitely a sight to see-- one that Eliza had seen, long ago.
