as if not going to the ballon d’or ceremony (that honored your coach as the best coach in the world, and your team as the best team in the world) because your player (rightfully) didn’t win the ballon d’or wasn’t enough, real madrid have now decided that they won’t play the copa del rey final if the referee isn’t changed.

the entitlement is genuinely insane, especially considering the lack of reasoning behind it??

are we not talking about the same real madrid that has been at the center of (potentially more than) hundreds of controversial refereeing decisions? are we not talking about the same real madrid that so famously won three ucls in a row, heavily relying on offisde goals? are we not talking about the same real madrid whose player (camavinga) didn’t get a second yellow card in this year’s spanish super cup final, despite deserving it? are we not talking about the same real madrid whose player (mbappe) only got a one match suspension for an incredibly dangerous tackle, in the same league where flick got a multiple match suspension for raising his arm?

the examples are endless, and it’s honestly so weird seeing this being accepted in the world of football, when no other team in no other sport would get away with it.

messi fanboys are literally cr7 fanboys but with an actual serious goat. they way these ‘culers’ with messi pfp have been on twitter showing their ass lately is insane. not only with the rapha thing but also with lamine any time his name is mentioned in the same sentence as messi. it’s weird to go up to bat for a national team (that has no messi in it btw) that is not only filled with atm players, but mfs who were smiling from ear to ear claiming the french team wasn’t actually french because of their african heritages. between that and de paul’s 613 cornrows, I don’t see the appeal, especially since messi is on his way out anyways.
