Anyways, you're big and it's crazy, unlike anything you could ever imagine. Cameras, interviews, fans, autographs, blah blah blah.

This game is just supposed to be fun! This is my first IF, and while I can be serious, I'd like this to be a fun little project to escape to (for you and for me).
But... this is also Hollywood we're talking about...so there might be some heavy topics unsuitable for some readers.

literally, yes. there were eye witnesses to MC's dead body.
This game has some fantasy level to it. I don't know if I should call it fantasy exactly, though, because I feel like when you think fantasy you think witches and wizards and dragons and sparkly magic and whatever.
But I also don't want to give everything away. I really like writing religiously-dark-themed stories, if that exists as a genre, and if that means anything to you.

Kate: Good luck trying to cuddle with her at all, it may be possible but she moves like crazy when she sleeps. She would prefer to just sprawl out on top of her partner.

And how important is romance going to be in this story? Or is it going to focus more on resolve the mystery of MCās death and revival? Both would be really fun to read!

- it is "canon" that Kate is physically attracted to the MC when they first meet, if you reciprocate, the feelings will grow, but if not they will disappear with no hard feelings.

- potential age gap, since Kate is far on the younger side of the age range.
Austin

I think all of the routes will be pretty slow since most of our ROs are still in the process of grieving MC, and then being hit with MC actually being alive.
On a scale of slow to "fast":
??? > Vanessa/Ky > Austin > Kate
I don't like to advertise ??? too much because they are not in the main storyline as much as the rest of the crew.
Vanessa and Ky are tied because both of them are really hard to get to know/open up. Vanessa has a hard time expressing vulnerability and Ky is just...very private.
Austin is...well he has a hard time wrapping his head around everything. Very skeptical, he's just being cautious.
Kate is just very open about how she feels, she's real big on communication. She also has a bit of a "You could die again tomorrow, let's do it differently and live with no regrets" mindset. Obviously, she would respect it if MC is not ready after having just died and coming back to life.
To be honest, this could change depending how the story pans out, but just thinking on what I know about them this is what feels right for now.
I want it to be a pretty good balance of relationships and plot.
You can play without romancing someone. There will be a best-friend option in the beginning and someone who has no romance will be on their best friend's platonic route.
Wow! I hope that was good enough...The tropes might have been the most difficult for me since the routes aren't super developed yet but I think I did ok.

so i donāt like making promises and telling you āthis will happen on this dayā because i canāt predict how iāll be feeling that day and will probably be setting everyone up for disappointment. i donāt want to be that person who doesnāt keep their word!
so this is a less formal version of that.
for a while, as is evident on my blog, i was in a slump where i just didnāt feel the same spark with this project as i did when i started it, but i think im back.
i hateeeee planning! i found that out! i think itās one of the reasons i got so worn out with this project, just the constant planning and seeing author advice saying stuff like āthis is how you should do thisā, i realized i write much better when im not thinking about what im writing and where itāll end, if that makes sense. Obviously some stuff needs to be planned, i just donāt love planning Everything.
so heres the deal,
demo - i want to write a really good chunk of it to be released, like prologue + episode 1, prologue will probably be pretty short, but episodes will be split into acts (probably 3).
character boards - nobody asked for one but its fun for me ok, probably wonāt be released until after the demo so you know some of the characters that havenāt been mentioned on the blog.
intro - there is something missing in the intro i just canāt figure out!!! i will be tearing my hair out trying to make it look good and less lacking

There will be nsfw scenes but I am not sure yet how explicit they will be. You will definitely get a fade-to-black choice and a choice to not participate at all.
You know, when I see fictional characters who repress all their emotions, they're usually aloof and very blunt about keeping people at a distance, sometimes to an edgy degreeābut what I don't see nearly enough are the emotionally repressed characters who are justā¦mellow.
Think about it. In real life, the person that's bottling up all their emotions is not the one that's brooding in the corner and snaps at you for trying to befriend them. More often than not, it's that friendly person in your circle who makes easy conversation with you, laughs with you, and listens and gives advice whenever you're upset. But you never see them upset, in fact they seem to have endless patience for you and everything around themāand so you call them their friend, you trust them. And only after months of telling them all your secrets do you realizeā¦

encore is a huge project for me and thereās a lot of stuff i want to fit into the game, so rn itās just a lot of fighting to make scenes fit and make sense (but not too much sense that everything is given away blah blahā¦.).
