Winter Is Coming || Peter and Gwen
Gwen laughed, âIm glad I replied tooâ she agreed, âBut when you come from a muggle family, what are you suppose to think about a handwritten letter that appears from nowhere, inviting you to a school you have never even heard of?â she bit her lip and smiled, looking down at the book in her hand for a second.Â
Gwen looked back up, âIt really is amazing out hereâ she agreed, then gave him a slightly teasing grin, âI was going to readâ she said, awkwardly tilting her book away from her chest to make her point, âand of course to trip over a guy who fell asleep in the grassâ she said with a laugh, hoping he would get her joke and not think she was completely insane.Â
Peter pondered on the thought for moment, realising just how strange it must have been to learn about magic for the first time. He had never known anything else, even in his earliest memories his parents would use magic around the house, the pictures in the Daily Prophet would move and he was completely immersed in the magical world. "That makes complete sense," he said with a small chuckle. "I can't imagine your reaction when you realised that it was all true," Peter added, glancing down at her book as she did.
"Oh so that was your motive, was it?" Peter teased, his grin brightening. "How did I do? Was my sleeping up to your standards?" he asked, laughing as he brushed a remaining bit of grass off of his trousers. "I hope I didn't interrupt your reading, though. What's the book about? If you don't mind me asking, that is."
