So lately I’ve been considering deactivating this blog. I’m definitely not into Marvel/Spider-Man stuff as much as i used to be, but I also want to move on for other reasons too.
When I started this blog, I was 18 and depressed and felt as though I had nothing to look forward to. I felt really lonely in ways that are hard to describe, and at the time, obsessing over Spider-Man/Tom Holland related content was a really unhealthy coping mechanism for me. I had seen and heard of a lot of people making internet friends and finding community in fandom-like spaces. And while that is really cool and good for them, it never really worked out for me. I felt like I needed A Thing in order to make friends and connect with people and that didn’t really work. Maybe it’s because Marvel was never really My Thing, but regardless, I want to close that chapter of my life and move on to something else. Just for the record, I am doing so much better than I was 4 years ago, which I’m really proud of myself for! But I have to admit that a big part of that was because I was able to ditch stan culture and find a life outside of fiction.
Hi Im still alive I know I haven’t posted in a while but I started the first episode of Loki tonight and I just wanted to say I think Loki and Mobius should kiss. thank you for listening.
this is your not so friendly reminder that Gal Gadot has openly supported the IDF and posted a picture with the hashtags “we are right” and “I love the IDF” following a bombing of Gaza that left innocent Palestinians - including children - dead.
She directly and openly supports a genocidal state that oppresses and strips rights away from Palestinians on a daily basis.
So fuck her, fuck her “I want my neighbors to be safe” narrative that is simply untrue based on her past actions, and fuck white feminists for trying to paint her as this “girlboss!!!!!!” because she plays Wonder Woman.
The Snyder cut is 4 hours long...
I’m sorry but I physically cannot watch that that is too long
Disney’s ‘experiment.’
Please don’t pay the extra 30 dollars to watch Raya and the Last Dragon on top of the subscription fee you are already paying. Do not normalize this. There is no reason you should pay that much to watch a movie in your own home, a few months earlier than everyone else. If you buy into this, they will keep doing it. They are calling it an experiment for a reason.
Marvel characters as things my history teacher has said, except they progressively get more concerning
I made a meme in honor of the new spiderman 3 movie titles
Y’all already know it’s 4 pm time for your daily dose of giving me serotonin through tiktok engagement

So, on Tumblr, I made this post about how white nerds can only relate to the experiences of people of color through a fandom lens. Harry Potter and Steven Universe make more sense to them than the lived experiences of people of color.
And then I heard argument that, like, “oh well it’s fiction, it’s supposed to help people relate to other people”
This is true in some regards. It’s great for children, and creators of color have used fiction in their work to talk about their experiences and demonstrate oppression. But constantly relating the experiences of people of color to elves and witches and aliens allows you to continue to dehumanize people of color.
It allows you to ignore us when we speak out about racism in fandom and to never learn to empathize with us as whole, full human beings. End Audio Transcript]

Archive.org is facing a lawsuit
tldr: the Internet Archive/WayBack Machine is super important in term of archived content, billions of stuff are on there, and with the current event happening in the world like stated above, without this tool, it will be hard to properly document what took place. It will be easy for certain people to rewrite history. Dont let them.
DONATE HERE (post dont get much exposure with working links sorry)

they’re being sued due to putting together an “emergency library”, essentially, in the wake of schools and libraries closing due to covid-19.
you can read about it in a few places. here’s one article on the subject, but there’s plenty to be found.
No more white women with ice powers. I want an inuit superhero with ice powers, and her suit is inspired by traditional inuit parkas
And her hair and eye color remains their natural dark shade. No blue eyes and white hair, we’ve had enough of that
Ask and ye shall receive. Here’s Marvel’s Inuk superhero, Amka Aliyak, who goes by the name Snowguard.
She can fly, shapeshift, and manipulate the energies of the Aurora Borealis and the Arctic Circle (that last seems pretty close to having power over ice). Oh, and she’s infused with the literal power of a god. And an Inuk consultant was heavily involved in the character’s creation.
Will she do?
For anyone who wants to read about her, Amka makes her first appearance in Champions vol. 2#21 and is a regular character in the series!
This is exactly what I was looking for, thank you
Also read the Champions anual! It’s a Snowguard-centric story!
Not that I would ever recommend Ultimate Marvel to anyone, but I’m pretty sure their version of Snowbird on the Alpha Flight team was an Inuit mutant with snow-based powers.
She’s really only in one issue, though, so its hardly worth it.
you know what’s Not Cute. giving actors half-scripts with only their lines, redacted pages, fake scripts, multiple scripts, barring them from being on set for certain scenes…… just to avoid the possibility of spoilers or letting them have the full picture…… they are professional actors. maybe like… idk… let them do their job…? studio execs/writers/directors love having choppy-looking scenes with sloppy editing and a bunch of confused faces accompanying ill-prepared reactions FOR WHAT. authenticity? a funny story to tell jimmy kimmel about later? no baby. it’s time to stop
so the new wonder woman movie is black hawk down levels of racist that’s fun
there’s also all of this
I’m genuinely surprised to find a post with this many notes talking about this.
But with that being said, Israel is once again bombing civilians in Gaza (and Syria) right now as this movie is playing in theatre, if you want to do something aside from rebloging/retweeting then please donate to “Islamic Relief” (or any other site you trust, Islamic Relief is considered very legitimate by many)

Elliot Page will continue playing Vanya Hargreeves on ‘The Umbrella Academy’ — Netflix is currently updating Page’s credits in all of his titles on the streaming platform
We love to see it. The new normal is respect.
This is awesome – hopefully more industry players will follow Netflix’s lead, to not only make space for queer actors but actively support them! –mod y
