Dear Friend, I’ve begun posting to my blog again. Like in the early days of blogging, my hope is to share resources that might be useful to you in this time of political turmoil. In reading Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., bell hooks, and Doris Lessing, I’m struck by how these days are both unprecedented and hauntingly familiar—a regurgitation of the past. There is nothing new about the MAGA movement or the discrimination we see in the United States. These forces are not anomalies; they are features of our history. But they are neither inevitable nor invincible. They only want us to believe they are.
