literally why would he EVER say this in the history of saying things. something about the unsure and shy “kinda” against the sheer gravity and conviction of the words “my other half”… that he answered it in such an all-encompassing way… his favourite thing about patrick isn’t that he’s funny or sweet or his music. it’s that he is Kinda his other half. and he can’t say “he’s my other half” even though thats what he means because its So Much, so much to say about your best friend and band mate for a one-off interview for your new album.. but at the same time he can’t Not say it because it’s so earnest and true to him and for all the jokes about how Pete Loves To Lie - at the core of it he loves the truth, the raw truth, which is why he spills his heart and head onto pages upon pages of blogs for the world to see… because he can’t Not say it. he can’t Not be true to his feelings and thoughts and it’s so fucked because when he answers “he’s kinda my other half” he’s not saying it for patrick or the readers or himself… he’s saying it because its real and true to him. and its So fucked up
