When Mr Darcy went from "consent to be my wife," to "allow me the honour of becoming your husband," my expectation for love skyrocketed
18 seconds in the countryside on a quiet August morning.
these arms are all i have, but i’ll hold you like i do love you
for everyone who watched the ending of 2521 whether you loved it, hated it, or have no opinion i would like to make a point that the drama missed.
yes, your youth doesn’t last forever, but don’t give up on it either.
maybe your friendships or relationships won’t last, but don’t let them go so easily. and if you have a chance to reach out in the future, do it.
don’t let it just become an acquaintanceship where you only see each other at funerals or high school reunions.
don’t let yourself be lonely as you enter adulthood. let the people who loved you then love you now.
some will flow away but there will be others that stay for good.
life is what you make of it, not what others tell you it will be like.
yes, youth itself doesn’t last forever, but that doesn’t mean the things you experienced and the people you loved won’t either.

“And then, one fairy night, May became June.”

Romanticize your life. Put on classical music and drink tea while you read a classic novel. Make flower crowns and scream poetry into the bright sky. Yell to the heavens your greatest fears and biggest dreams. Put on your favorite clothes and run through the streets or fields dancing to the music blaring in your headphones. Write shitty poetry or write down other people’s. Put those posters on your wall and wear that outfit that you think everyone will hate, but makes you feel pretty or handsome. Wear that makeup, or dont. Say your opinions proudly, and don’t back down from a challenge if you have the facts to back up your side. To hell with those who will judge you- your eternal happiness is worth more than a stranger’s fleeting thought.
You deserve to feel happy and to be the main character in your life. Stop being a side character in your own story. I know this is overused, but we truly only live once and our existence is a painfully fleeting one.
Choose happiness and be content. What is the meaning of life? Why, it is to live it the way you want to. The meaning is up to you, but you have to be willing to take the first step forward into your happiness, for you will not be led.
Moodboard
I can never read all the books I want; I can never be all the people I want and live all the lives I want. I can never train myself in all the skills I want. And why do I want? I want to live and feel all the shades, tones and variations of mental and physical experience possible in my life. And I am horribly limited.
Sylvia Plath, The Unabridged Journals of Sylvia Plath 1982
“I ask you to pass through life at my side
to be my second self,
and best earthly companion.”
— Charlotte Bronte, Jane Eyre

“It had been a mild, serene spring day; one of those days which towards the end of March or the beginning of April, rise shining over the earth as heralds of summer.”
— Jane Eyre, Charlotte Brontë
